We had a lovely stay at Saman's home stay. The gardens were idyllic and the room was spacious and comfortable with a large bed. We had great (and very large!) traditional Sri Lankan breakfast each morning which set us up for our hikes. Saman was a great host who was always around to answer any questions we had or give us ideas for extra excursions we might want to do. Would definitely stay again.

This homestay is incredible. Clean and comfortable, friendly owners and delicious breakfast. Tropical garden surroundings and a view of Lion Rock at the end of the longer driveway. They are so happy to give you everything you need and then some extra!

This is such a peaceful place, set in beautiful gardens with the sounds of birds. I had a very comfortable bed with private bathroom and hot shower. Fan and AC plus hair dryer and tea making facilities in the room. It was lovely to eat breakfast on the varandha in this wonderful setting. Hosts Saman, Praneeth and family were so kind and helpful I extended my stay by 2 extra days. I could have stayed longer! It's a great base to do day trips to Anuradhapura, Pollonaruwa, Dambulla Caves and of course an elephant safari to Hurulu Eco Park. You can often see wild elephants on the roadside nearly by too, which was an added bonus! Very close the entrance for Lion Rock! Saman is an experienced guide so ask him for tips. Perfect 🙂

My husband and l had the most wonderful stay at Sigiri homestay . Samam and his family were all just so lovely . Friendly, courteous and helpful all the time . We had many questions all of which they answered, they went over and beyond helping us with transportation and currency exchange. The room was perfect- so clean , tea, fridge, aircon, water every day and a very comfortable bed with extra pillows. A lovely balcony to relax and enjoy the gardens.The Homestay was within walking distance to Sigiriya rock and the little village. Breakfast was delicious, variety every morning. And we had our meals here and they were just superb. The perfect blend and balance of spices to create the most delicious and traditional Sri Lankan food. And plentiful

Praneeth was very helpful and the breakfast was the best, simple and savoury! Thank you to all of the staff who made the stay a pleasant one. The location was very embodied with nature which is a great spot.

The place itself is already amazing, with an extreme complete and delicious breakfast, clean and spacious rooms with jungle and playful monkeys around you and great wifi! But even more so are Saman and his son Praneeth. They go out of there way to make everything perfect for you! There Englisch is really good too Arranging bookings, giving information, picking you even up in the evening after dinner when it's dark, cause there could be elephants on the way back! And there were elephants just in there garden! Saman gave me a ride to the beginning of the climb to the rocks (Lion Rock and Pidurangala), but you could easily walk it by yourself from his place On top of that you get a free facial scrub massage at the Spa Serendib, just about 20 minutes walk from the homestay if you stay here.

We had a wonderful stay at Saman's place. We were made to feel welcome and Saman was so helpful with making arrangements, organising good prices for transfers and giving recommendations. The room was really clean and the bed was very comfy too. Plus, there was a big delicious breakfast every morning. With the help of Saman we fit in a visit to Sigiriya Rock, Dambulla Caves, Polonnaruwa, an Elephant Safari and an Ayurvedic Spa in our three days here. Thank you to Saman and his family, they all helped us make the most of our time in Sigiriya. Nothing was ever too much and they always greeted us with a smile.
