Excellent service and staff, they were kind and sociable, willing to help in anything. Beautiful scenery and great location, near to Siena central and accessible by taxi if you don’t have a car. Clean and tidy rooms and facilities. Breakfast and food were local and fresh.

This is a stunning property, its beauty was trumped only by the service of the team members. Elena made us feel like old friends. The food and wine were delicious, we will be back and will be bringing more friends. If you are planning a trip to Tuscany I would make this part of your itinerary.

Large comfortable rooms. Very quiet and peaceful pool area and surroundings. Staff was lovely. Easy to get to and travel around- parking onsite for our car, but we most enjoyed hanging out at the Villa! Had one of our best meals in Italy at their small restaurant. Very good value.

After a week of trying to navigate the big cities of Rome, Naples and Florence, it was a welcome relief to be in the countryside. We even had a parking lot next to the villa and we didn't have to fight for a parking space. The views were just like the movies. The staff was very helpful. The room was large and comfortable. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious. The wines were great. Breakfast was nice and a wonderful way to start the day. We visited during the beginning of the season so the hotel was not full and the pool was not open yet. The restaurant was closed one night, so we picked up sandwiches for dinner during our visit to Siena. The hotel opened the breakfast room for us to eat our sandwiches and provided wine and other drinks. It was like our private dinning room. All the employees were great. The chef even showed us his herb garden next to the restaurant.

Villa Il Castagno Wine Resort is the perfect small resort for visiting Tuscany. The rooms were nice, the views were awesome, the manager Anna could not have been a better host. Abu was available for whatever we needed day or night. The chef and waitstaff in the restaurant were awesome as well. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend the wild boar ragu. Every morning and evening was the most serene setting. I could not get over how quiet it was compared to anywhere else I have been. They also had a perfect pool area with cabanas.

Looking at other reviews if felt as if we were in a different place, the position of the hotel is wonderful but I am afraid we did not find the stay as enjoyable as other reviewers. No one was around when we arrived and as it was raining we had to go away and come back later. The food was fine but not a lot of choice, the service on our second night was terrible we had to wait ages for our order to be taken despite only 6 other people in the restaurant .I have never been served such a small glass of Prosseco !

A moment of dreams, everything was perfect. Service at the restaurant was really appreciated. Awesome landscape. Very beautiful place. The room is clean, confortable, with a lot of space. We really enjoyed our journey.

Our third time at Villa il Castagno and again it didn't disappoint. If your looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting yet only 5 minutes from Siena this is the place for you. Rooms and breakfast were great and as usual served with a smile and warm welcome from Veronica. One tiny issue around the per-ordering of breakfast as we would have preferred the old buffet option but as I said this didn't spoil our enjoyment overall.

The place and food are amazing! I two days in the property and everyone are great providing genuine good service(special note to Veronica who is amazing). It is besides Siena and have great options around close to everything you can see around. I wished I had stayed more. Loved
