Burlington Berties

Our second stay at Burlington Berties, it was absolutely fantastic. Fabulous room, excellent breakfast and the team were friendly and helpful. Less than ten minutes from the coast and all the shops. It's the best place to stay in Sheringham by far .

I’ve known the girls for a few years now and we’ve eaten there many times. The food absolutely out of this world. The truffle is amazing and I love that it often has their own gin in it. The beef is often my favourite for Sunday lunch and is always cooked to perfection. Last week we called in one evening to try their burgers, which are new to the menu, and we’re not disappointed! Absolutely delicious and one of, if not the, best burgers we’ve ever had.

Friendly welcoming hosts, good food, great location. You just can’t say enough about this place. Sally and Joanne were very welcoming hosts Booked the first nights meal in their restaurant watched it being cooked to order, tasted great resulted in us booking the remaining evenings of our stay, They even helped us find a good place to eat on the one night they were closed. We Even preordered our food to make sure we got what we desired. Every meal was very good. Breakfast was just as good and set you up for the day. Room was very comfortable haven’t slept that well in a long time. Joanne Sally Sophie and Matt were great and catered for your every need. Went for four nights felt like we had been there a lot longer.

Went to Cromer for a few days for partners birthday & ended up booking here on the Friday evening & had a terrific meal, fantastic service & fab gin cocktails to start by the fire in the lounge area which was well received after a cold day. We enjoyed the experience so much we booked again for Sunday lunch & once again were not disappointed - thank you Sally & Joanna for making us so welcome, we will be returning in the near future, especially if the gin trifle is still on the menu!!!

We were looking forward to a cosy romantic weekend in a luxury boutique hotel as the description promised. The reality is this is a guest house with grand ambitions. The room promised a sea view; our windows were high up so you'd need to stand on tip toes and squint over to the right. It was a cold blowy night, the room was cold (and even colder when the heating when off automatically during the afternoon); the manager was loud and intrusive, the owners dogs were running around free range. There was nothing luxurious about our room; furniture looked like someone had bought a job lot in a second hand furniture store e.g. the table with the teas and coffees was an Ikea lack table - basic tea and coffee, no lighting on the dressing table.... However, the food and drinks were good. We thought it was well overpriced and more amateur dramatics than west end.

Booked for Sunday lunch - after a friendly welcome and a drink in the bar service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was extremely tasty . We both had starters and mains but couldn’t manage dessert . Despite being low season the restaurant was full - a clear sign of how popular it is. Will definitely be going back.

Sally and Joanna who own and run Burlington Berties have just come back from their break of two months. How we have missed them. They are now back with a BANG, full of new ideas. Sunday Lunch on 1st March 2024, was amazing. The taste of the Roast Beef made me realise how much I have missed their excellent cuisine.l

Lived up to expectations. Very friendly staff. Room and hotel very clean. Breakfast was of high quality and the meal we had one night in hotel was excellent with a good choice of menu. The hotel is also very handy for the town centre with car parking also available.

Our first visit to Berties after many trips to Sheringham and the surrounding area was faultless. We also booked in for an evening meal, and having been to North in Leicester previously, ran by Sally and Joanna, we thought we knew knew what to expect,... But in fact it was better, same high quality, service and variety, and whilst served from their excellent open kitchen, felt so more relaxed and attentive. We didn't stay for Sunday Lunch as we were travelling back to Lesta, but even the local restaurateurs told us that Berties did the best Sunday Lunch in Sheringham...praise indeed You will not be disappointed ..
