A true hidden Gem with some of The friendliest People😁...Harbor Master Captain Graham with his charismatic Charm is always happy to wisk you away on his launch & deliver you to the Inns Dock...Where steps away is the Beautiful Rams Head Inn offering Delicious Food & Drinks...We had a Problem with Our boat & Graham saved the day once again with his helpful Mechanical knowledge ...We will be Back...again & again.

The Rams Head Inn was picture perfect…set up on hill overlooking the pretty beach below. The attention to detail from the wonderful staff made our weekend getaway a truly unforgettable experience. Looking forward to our next visit.

My wife and I were the only guests for night 1 of our 2-night stay last week. Two other guests arrived on our 2nd night. Theresa at the front desk was helpful and friendly, giving us local restaurant info upon our arrival and calling restaurants for us to determine when, and if they were open. The Inn’s restaurant was not open during our Tuesday to Thursday morning stay. Tyler, the manager, was also very helpful and accommodating. He talked to us about the property, the area history and made us feel very comfortable. The property is private and a great spot for the sunset, which we enjoyed from the patio overlooking the beach area. We explored historically significant places on the Island, thanks to the SI Chamber of Commerce booklet and website. We really enjoyed our ½ day hike in the Mashomack Preserve. The restaurants we really enjoyed were Isola, Stars Café, The Islander.

The Ram's Head Inn location is fantastic and the 'backyard' grounds are really nice/comfortable with beautiful water views. It was nostalgia that brought us to stay here, having spent youthful summers on the North Fork. The staff were all very sweet and accommodating. The bedroom was an adequate size given the age of hotel, however, the in-room bathroom left a lot to be desired. It's small, extremely dated and in need of repair/replacement items, with very poor shower water pressure. The morning's included breakfast was delightful with very nice touches, but while we enjoyed our dinner, it was overpriced compared to the quality/portion at countless other local restaurants. Similarly, the room rate price was high for what you get, and it was a bit ridiculous to be charged an additional $40 for 1 hour of pickleball played on a concrete slab 'court' marked by torn/worn painter's tape.

We stayed one night last weekand the room was clean but the air filters very dirty. At 5 am I woke up from some electrical noise couldn’t sleep after .Hotel was overpriced and the restaurant was just fine. beautiful space beautiful clean small beach. Overall it’s over priced for Thursday night we spent $475 per night- it is way to much for small room. Find a different place to stay

I stayed for 2 nights after a heavy Hamptons week. I had been there many years before and was again pointed in that direction by locals. The location and staff were faultless. They dealt impeccably with a demanding guest and arrangements that through no fault of theirs went astray. The food was good. Early morning swims, pleasant drinks on the lawns and enough space outside to move around with the Sun. I had room 17 which was really too small but you do not go there to sleep inside. The bed was excellent and just right for a good night's sleep. Its pricy but not outrageously so in Hamptons terms. An intimate escape place by boat with a mooring or two to pick up if you feel like it. A safe gently shelving beach close to the house is ideal for keeping an eye on children while they play in the water. Were I looking to improve things a rather more substantial coninental breakfast with tea available as well as coffee would be better or perhaps a full breakfast menu . Just the place for a long weekend with the kids or a romantic and boozy dinner on the terrace overlooking the bay. I loved the place and its staff.

We had an excellent reunion dinner with a large group of friends on a recent Sunday evening in August. The setting on the terrace was idyllic, the food was very good, but what made the experience particularly enjoyable was the the new sommelier, Pascal: His knowledge of and enthusiasm for wine and his insistence that each bottle that we had was to be enjoyed from the correct glass gave the evening a special sense of occasion. A particularly nice touch was that when we ordered a third bottle of burgundy which had run out, he gave us a better wine for the same price. A true professional. We look forward to returning soon.
