By far the friendliest place we've ever stayed at in China! The owners are super nice, invite you for tea in the courtyard, let you try traditional dresses, and the lady even took us out for the public dancing at 7pm. The courtyard is really beautiful, full of flowers, and heated in the evenings with a wood fire stove. Breakfast is rather simple and nothing to be excited about (porridge, soup, flatbread). Rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated.
We'll be coming back, see you next time!

Friendly and accommodating service, room had everything you would need. Simple Chinese breakfast was good and served with a smile! English speaking guy who worked at the front desk was very helpful with our late check in and also helped us arrnage transport for when we left.

It's a bit hidden in the old town, but we followed Baidu maps so didn't have a problem finding it. The open space on the main floor is beautiful and tons of natural light, which was a bit of a contrast to the rooms which didn't have much natural light. You could tell the rooms were a bit worn and old, the bathroom light above the mirror wasn't working. This wasn't a room we had planned to spend much time in, so it did it's job, but I probably wouldn't stay again. The Ayi that runs the kitchen is really kind and just wants to feed you till you're stuffed :p the breakfast is really basic, which you have a choice between western (toast, eggs, coffee) or Chinese (congee, pickled veg, yak butter tea, boiled egg, and noodles - it's A LOT)

Great location in the Dukesong ancient city! This hotel was gorgeous, and the staff was really nice and helpful to any requests; plus their tea was delicious. The breakfast was simple, but quite tasty. I really enjoyed trying the Tibetan coffee. The Tibetan style and esthetic gave the place an alluring charm. It's a great place to stay when visiting Shangri-la!

Everything about our trip was fantastic at this hotel. They were extremely nice and helpful right when we arrived at the hotel and continued throughout the stay. The hotel itself was beautiful; more than I expected. Our family suite worked out great. The room was clean with all the modern facilities that many people expect. The service was outstanding. Everybody working there was great to myself and my family. They lit fires in the fireplace for us after a long day of being outside. They provided us tea anytime we wanted some to drink. Breakfast in the hotel was also simple, but very delicious. Lastly, location, location, location. It was located very closely to the gates out of the old city and very near to the center of the old city. It really was a great location for walking around and checking out the old city. When I travel to Shangri-la again, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. Thanks again everybody at the hotel!!

Very friendly and welcoming staff at the hotel — every night when we returned to the hotel, they gave us tea and their home brewed alcohol. I would highly recommend staying here!
