Great place to stay in Halfway village.
One of the staff can speak English! Throughout our 10-day trip in China, she's the only 1 person that can speak English.
We arrived the guesthouse quite late at 8pm from hiking. The kitchen was supposed to close at 7.30pm, but they waited for us. Thank you very much :)
The room was good and clean. The hot shower was good and strong. The electric blanket and hair dryer was working very well. The view in front of the room was second to none.
However around 9am, the renovation workers start to come to work on the balcony and they start smoking, which ruin the atmosphere a bit.

Beautiful views! Nice hangout spot at the rooftop. Guesthouse manager even helped me to book return bus ticket for the next day. Good variety of food in the menu. Highly recommended!

First off: This is known as Judy's in the gorge and has been for years. Not sure why they've renamed it on here but in the gorge look for Judys.
Stayed here at Halfway were renovating their balcony rooms. They've recently added new up market rooms with balconies and bathtubs. The rooms are very nice however the balcony is unfortunately somewhat ruined by the new hotel being built directly in front. A fact that isn't noticable on their official photos.
My booking also said something about meals included but there no mention of this and we paid for breakfast so perhaps that needs clarifying.
Overall the hotel has very nice rooms (and more basic rooms of you prefer) but we didn't have dinner here as we preferred to spend our evening on the rooftop at Halfway.

The guest house is located on the halfway of the hiking path, it is simple and quiet. It is always a good thing that we can carry less stuff while hiking and can still get a decent place to sleep and eat. Appreciate it!

A good location about halfway on the trail. Currently undergoing a big addition and renovation . Don't be put off as every accommodation is getting renovations.
Be aware the name of the hotel is "Judy's." We spent around 45 minutes asking and looking before we found it.

We stayed in the old block of this property which was a bit tired, but there is also a newly renovated block. Price and location was good (near halfway house for dinner and drinks). Can't complain when you're getting wifi, a hot shower and bed to sleep in the mountains!
Great views from the terrace, too.

Just on the halfway from the tiger gorge Hike. It was clean, the shower had hot water with good pressure. They give out towels and toiletries, so you don't have to bring them with you. We didn't eat there so no comments about the food. Recommended
