What we love - its central location, cleanliness, a lot of food choices during breakfast buffet, heated pool. We just had some concerns during booking and check in, it was not indicated that our room has no windows but the reception just gave us this room without windows. Due to winter, temperature control cannot be changed so it tends to be very warm.

Nice hotel with great service especially for foreigners that don’t speak Mandarin. High class. Heard the adjacent restaurant is great. Huge luxurious bathroom. Not the most modern decor but very nice. Only surprise was for a higher end place I couldn’t find any coffee or tea cups.

When I checked in, Starry was very kind. I asked for a late checkout and she gave it to me free of charge. I was also upgraded room free of charge which was very nice. I wasn’t overly sure on the amenities the hotel had (pool etc). The room was very clean with a lovely large bed. Good wifi, big TV, water in room, optional mini bar. I ordered some room service for lunch and it was very nice and came within a good time. All staff were very kind. I had a takeout delivered to the hotel and someone (I didn’t get her name) was very kind and helped me on her own phone to lick it up as I didn’t know how to do it. Would definitely stay again!

It's a beautiful hotel! Great location and staffs are warm and smiley! We booked the Shanghai Bus Tour and its really convenient because 1 of the stop is just 1 street away. Not to mention the convenience of the airport and the high speed railway station is all on the same line! We didn't have the buffet breakfast but there are tons of shopping and food all around the hotel. We enjoyed our stay alot. Thank you Marriot!

The hostel exceeded my expectations. Could not relate to the bad reviews about permanent residents dirtying up the place. I didn't encounter any of them. But I did stay in winter, so maybe there were less people. The common area is huge and comfortable. There's a water dispenser in the common area, and also a large collection of beer and drinks. The room can be a little small, but it's sufficient. I've stayed in worse places. The locations is also perfect. Just a stone's throw away from Nanjing Road, and 5 min walk from People's Square station. I see no reason why I would not stay here again.

is a nice location at CBD. For solo traveller, the place is enough for stay, but the aircon very noise, and it will stop work at the midnight, especially damn cold at the cold winter. Generally, quite okay for me to stay, price is reasonable include breakfast.

Just downstairs from Shanghai No. 1 Food Company, it’s the best choice for foodies. The location is good, with convenient transportation from north to south. The room was clean, the service was good, and all the requirements were met. Breakfast is delivered to the room, and the service staff will greet you when you meet in the corridor. Small but complete. Shanghainese are smart and sophisticated. The girls and boys at the front desk are very nice and very enthusiastic.

The good things about this hotel - it’s directly across the street from a metro station, a park, and an art museum. The main shopping street is a quick five minute walk away. The building, lobby, and breakfast room all have a beautiful, vintage charm. The staff is polite and helpful. The breakfast isn’t elaborate, but the simple fare is enough to start the day with energy. The room for one person was comfortable and the bathroom was surprisingly big. The room they assigned me was tucked away a bit so at night it was really quiet. The things that need improvement - the carpet in the room was awful. It was dirty and felt crunchy. I don’t think a deep clean would improve the carpet. The carpet in the rooms needs to be completely changed. The bathroom shower head was also a bit outdated and the sink had separated from the bathroom counter. I think if these things were fixed, the hotel would be fantastic. As it stands, as a solo traveler this place was affordable and overall decent for the price. The location and friendly staff were the best features.

Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didn’t work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didn’t match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didn’t have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonald’s instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.

Is another kind standard of China style hotel. What you needed from 5 stars Hotel in room all have, same same but different. Sharing elevator entrance in business building make the hotel look messy and cheap. Although price is slightly cheaper but not much compare to the hotel nearby. Room are noisy that you can hear sound from corridor or neighbours, when step in I saw a hearplugs on the table, then I understand why they put that there. I will not stay this hotel, if I back to shanghai again. Toilet never clean well left over stuffs, body foam never top up empty.

The location is perfect. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is just downstairs. You can see two pieces of the three-piece set while sitting by the window. It only takes about twenty minutes to walk to the Bund with the kids. The breakfast buffet is very rich, the staff are very enthusiastic and have a good attitude. The room was very spacious and I didn't hear any noise after staying there for three days.

The hotel is conveniently located and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel staff are friendly, nice and helpful. Just 2 things that caused certain inconveniences. 1. The staff took away the bath mat and forgot to replace a new one. 2. The door could not be closed tightly in the shower room and water did leak out of the door. Overall stay is satisfactory and I will stay again.

✨ [First glance into the room] The location of the room is very good, parking and taxi! Going downstairs in a straight line of about 200 meters, you will arrive at Nanjing Road… it is also very close to the Chenghuang Temple! The most worth stressing is that after checking out, I found that the ring was left in the room. The landlord arranged for the first time to clean and didn't find it. After communication, I went to help find it again. I finally found it and sent it back to the courier! So: highly recommended! The landlord and the cleaning aunt are very good! !

It is very convenient. It is adjacent to the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Every day, you can see the queue at the side door of the No. 1 Food Store to buy freshly baked butterfly pastries, and smell the aroma of baking cream cheese. Snack bars and snack towns can be found everywhere. It is a paradise for food lovers. Recommended!

The location is a big plus as it is near metro and also the hotel is at Nanjing Road, People’s Square, close to The Bund and other places. My itinerary started around 2pm. I arrived Shanghai at 11am from Pudong Airport. ＞ Nanjing Road ＞ The Bund ＞ Yu Yuan Garden ＞ Shanghai Old Town Then went back to roam around. Found Cathedrals along the way (not sure of the names) ＞ Around 7pm I joined the Tour Bus which is 40RMB for 40minutes and will take you to the other side where the Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl Tower located. You can see them upclose. The receptionist was helpful on my checked-out day as she helped me to call a taxi to my next destination. The only downside of this hotel is the cleanliness of the room and corridor. I found a hair on my bed, even inside the duvet. Under the table was so dusty. Toothpick at the corridor. Which I believe can improve next time. :) All in all. It’s a great hotel and great location.
