The only good thing about the location of this hotel is that it’s close to Jinshanwei station, which is convenient considering that you’ll want to leave as quickly as possible.
On entering the hotel, you’ll think that you’ve paid a bargain for your room because it looks quite grand and glamorous — looks, of course, can be deceiving. Then, once you take the lift up to the fifth floor, which is
where all the room are, all your positive thoughts are gone, and you’ll then get this horrible sinking feeling. Once you’ve gone through the maze of hallways to get to your room, you’ll see that your room is quite big, but nothing special.
There were watermarks on the fake wood flooring, the room reeked of cigarette smoke, in a city where indoor smoking is illegal, the shower door had a logo for a different hotel, and there were stains of god-only-knows-what on the skirting boards; not to mention that compulsory window where you can watch whoever’s in the shower.
The breakfast was free, but extremely minimal.
If ever I were to go back to Jinshan district, I will be staying elsewhere.
Although, the beds were quite comfortable
