We are returning clients and return for a reason. Mon Port hotel has a relaxed and peaceful ambiance. The setting and spacious formation of the low rise buildings help keep a traditional, beautiful Mallorcan feel. Many palm trees and plenty of green give a lush feel. 2 large adult pools a child’s and infant pool. Tennis court, children’s play area and very attractive dining room with plenty of outdoor seating. Very good buffet breakfast including cava, avocado, smoked salmon, fresh pastries and fruit. Omelettes made to order and ingredients from a typical British breakfast. 4 tea and coffee machines with one in the far corner having a hot chocolate option. If you are a hardened English breakfast tea drinker, as I am, I suggest taking you favourite tea bags with you. The tea and coffee tray in the room also lacks a decent breakfast black tea. Dinner is waiter service which gives a relaxed and restaurant feel. The choice, with two or three specials a day is good but not extensive, But the food is beautifully cooked and very fresh, we usually eat out in the port restaurants, however we used the restaurant for half of our stay as we enjoyed the food so much, definitely recommend. The rooms are a good size, spotlessly clean, as is the rest of the hotel and very comfortable beds. TV has a few UK channels and BBC news. Hairdryer in bathroom and lots of those funny little boxes with bits in them. I think the hotel could keep the spare bits in reception…..toothbrush, shower hat, comb, shoe polish, sewing kit etc. and give these items out on request, it seems a waste of the ‘little boxes’.but this is a personal view. Personally a box of tissues is useful, but I love the layout of the bathroom although the rooms we usually have do not have a bath, but a lovely large walk in shower. The beautiful ground floor rooms have a large terrace area. Plenty of sun beds, however we were at the hotel at a quieter time. The indoor pool is lovely with an integrated jacuzzi. We have not experienced any spa trea**ents. There is a room service menu with a large choice of pizzas. 2 small bottles of water are supplied complimentary, it is worth buying a nice large bottle of water from the Yacht club or small supermarket. The hotel is approximately 35 mins from airport in a taxi, about €60-70. The port and restaurants are 10-20 minutes walk from the hotel. The Yacht club (Club de Vela) has a lovely outdoor cafe/restaurant with fair priced pizzas, pastas, chicken, salad dishes and desserts. Further round are many restaurants varying in cost and style. We tried another hotel in Majorca which was very nice just prior to our arrival at Mon Port, however when we walked into the reception of Mon Port it was like ‘coming home’. The service and standard remans consistently excellent, we are returning again this month with family and are really looking forward to being back again
