I visited the Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp in July. Simply put, it was FABULOUS! Kudos to those who designed the daily operation of this camp. The ENTIRE staff, rooms, grounds, cuisine, and the facility were AWESOME! This company left no stone unturned. First, I must mention the warm welcome we received daily! My fellow travelers and I were touched by the greetings and send-offs we received each time we left or returned to the camp. Upon arrival, we found the staff in full uniform with big smiles on their faces. They were waving to us as if we were their family members coming to visit. Then, each day when we left for our excursions, they stood outside and waved goodbye. That gesture made us feel special! Second, I must commend the kitchen staff! The chef performed magic with the dishes he prepared daily. The quality of the food, its freshness, taste, and the presentation were epic! Each day, fourteen of my fellow travelers and I looked forward to seeing what would be served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, the ENTIRE dining staff made us feel as if each meal we received was given individualized attention. I have to give a special “shout-out” to Mussa and Rashid. They learned that I am allergic to nuts and EACH time they served me, they would state that my meal had "NO NUTS". They made me feel that my safety and health mattered, all while serving me a delicious meal. Additionally, when we ate lunch outdoors, the food was healthy, fresh, and delicious. The plates, cloth napkins, silverware, glasses, and the latched jars used for storing the food reminded us of the importance of protecting the environment. NO PAPER OR PLASTIC PRODUCTS WERE USED! The rooms and grounds were IMMACULATE and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and thank the Lord the showers had hot water. At night when the temperature dropped, we were given hot water bottles and blankets to keep us warm. During the day when it was hot, we had a fan. I would describe the camp as “high-end rustic" or a "luxury camp.” The atmosphere was VERY nice and we were pleased. I would be remiss if I failed to mention that EVERY member of the staff did everything they could to make our stay a memorable experience. For instance, Rose (made certain that my roommate and I were comfortable and our room was cleaned daily. Margaret, Said, and the Manager (don’t know his name) were simply amazing! My roommate and I had a small issue with one of the electrical outlets and Remmy quickly took care of that. Honestly, I was a bit apprehensive about the possibility of seeing animals roaming the camp. However, it was reassuring to have several individuals to escort us to and from our rooms. They were ALL wonderful! Each escort was friendly and seemed to have a genuine love and respect for the animals. Moses was the guide for the jeep I rode in during our game drive. After driving through the vast land of the Serengeti, I feel Moses led us through a “Promised Land” (LOL). He
