Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

Wow! Just wow, you will feel like you’re 1,000,000 miles from home deep in national park and at the end of our Rocky Road is a beautiful lodge and resort. The rooms were very comfortable. The staff was amazing. This is a full service lodge, restaurant gift shop, free Wi-Fi and beautiful grounds. Really enjoyed my time here

We stayed for three nights before proceeding to Norogoro and Tarengire national park and found a gem in the middle of the Serengeti national park. We stayed 5 nights at the Serengeti Serena lodge in Jan 2024 whilst on a family holiday celebrating my father’s 70th birthday. This trip was made even more magical and memorable by the hospitality this lodge showed us. We were collected from the air ***** by our safari guides who were also very friendly and knowledgeable. Upon arriving at the lodge we were greeted with smiles and a welcome refreshment followed by lunch. The staff were all attentive from the very moment we reached the lodge. The head chef came to greet us during lunch and even catered the menus to suit our palate for the duration of our stay, this was a very nice touch. The choice of food during breakfast, lunch and dinner was fantastic. We especially enjoyed the live omelette station in the mornings, and live cooking available each evening. The lodge also host some great entertainment in the evenings, traditional singing and dances, which we all enjoyed getting involved with. We had a top level room, which had beautiful views of the Serengeti planes. We even spotted elephants in the distance when enjoying cocktails on our balcony. The facilities and amenities were good, and our room was clean and spacious. We really appreciated the turn down service in the evening. The lodge has no perimeter fence, therefore you will be escorted to and from dinner from your lodge. You will be surrounded by the wild sounds of the Serengeti. We could hear hyenas very close by in the evenings. The staff helped us organise a special dinner and cake for my father’s birthday, they got all the staff involved with a song and dance. Overall the lodge provided everything and more, this was our first safari trip, and we would definitely recommend the Serena Serengeti lodge. We made some everlasting memories during our special safari trip.

This was our third Serena Hotel in our safari with Serena. It seems that most of the accommodations out in the middle of the Serengeti are tent camps, and this is a luxury hotel. It is certainly a nice place to return after a tough day of driving through the park. We had the same guide throughout, and he seemed to know all the other guides in the park. There are constant updates through radio on where the best animals are. It is obviously very dynamic on the very large Serengeti with animals on the move. The pool is beautiful and there was nice entertainment, although the most important was a nice shower and comfy bed. We had some customized food orders which were all handled well. Service was fantastic, internet pretty sketchy. There were some tour groups, but they seated us separately at meals.

i spent our last 3 nights at serena safari lodge in serengenti ,its location in the valley makes it so unique and good spot when it comes to wildlife spotting ,i would say my ground handlers of certified safaris uganda made a good choice when making bookings

Terrible Experience. I paid a very high price and had a very unpleasant experience. It was terrible. I definitely made a reservation at the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge and it was confirmed. However, on the afternoon of the reservation day, they said they had no space at Safari Lodge and would move our group to a better accommodation. And after going off-road for over an hour, we arrived at a tent, not a lodge. It was already dark and no further movement was possible, so they said we had no choice but to sleep there. So we had no choice but to sleep there, and they said they couldn't give us a refund since we had already slept there. No matter how good the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is, even if you booked there, you could end up staying in a tent in another remote location. Even though its name is Serena, you should know that it is on a whole different level from the Safari Lodge you chose. I wouldn't want to take that risk again. What's even more problematic is that this isn't the first time this has happened, and it happens often. I would say that paying big money and booking Serena Lodge is a bit of a risk.

A honeymoon with the wait. The vast plains seemed idylic and such an Amazon mg experience. The rooms are nice although once again Abit outdated, but the experience of the bush made up for all of it. From the guides to the staff everything was top notch. Beautiful meals and lunch boxes.

We traveled to the Serena hotel in the Serengeti to get married whilst on a holiday in Tanzania , from the initial booking of the wedding they were absolutely fantastic we only gave them 7 weeks notice and they communicated and organised it so well and stress free, the accommodation is absolutely beautiful and so spotlessly clean and the staff service is fantastic along with the food . I unfortunately got sick before I arrived and the hotel had a doctor waiting for me who gave me everything I needed and the care was second to none thank you Dr Kate 🙏. Vincent also had to do a lot of reorganising for the wedding day because of my sickness but he did this without any complaints which I am so grateful for . The wedding day was beautiful and so well organised and special with traditional singers and dancers and the ceremony in the bush they all made the day so special for us, they truly could not have done more for us ! Thank you Vincent and all the staff you are all wonderful we look forward to returning some day 🫶☺️ Séamus & Carol
