Premier Inn Bridgwater Gateway (M5, J24)

Perfect location for a one night stop over on our way to Cornwall. Lovely staff, clean room and excellent food.

Great service, Great Staff, Great Food & Drinks, Great Nights Sleep, couldn’t ask for anything more .

We’ve stayed here before and had a good experience hence us re-booking, however it did not live up to previous expectations. We arrived and tried to check in using the self check in desk but this did not work so we stood at the desk and waited for someone to check us in. There were two members of staff chatting to one another whilst we were stood infront of them waiting for them to check us in as we had arrived late and wanted to go straight to bed. They both walked away from the desk then one came back and begun checking us in. She was speaking at us as though she was reading from a script then mid way through talking at us she continued her conversation with the other staff member then back to us, it was very confusing. Anyway we went to our room and had no problem with it at all. Quality was as you’d expect, basic, clean and comfortable. We put the aircon on as the room was warm but couldn’t sleep with it on due to there being a running water noise coming from the vents which was annoying so we had to turn it off. Then woke up sweating and had to turn it back on but couldn’t sleep with the noise. Went down for breakfast and we were stood around waiting for someone to seat us as all of the tables were dirty and covered in plates. Finally seated and had a cappuccino which was Luke warm, again stood around waiting for the cooked breakfast to be replenished, no clean bowls, glasses or spoons. My recommendation would be to go elsewhere for breakfast, otherwise it was okay for what we needed it for which was somewhere to sleep to break up our drive.

Having a disability I asked for the disabled room and was very pleased with the facilities. Breakfast was good but not great

This hotel is by far the best premier inn I have stayed in as I do a lot of travelling for work. The staff are very friendly and professional and very welcoming

Amazing stay - very clean and modern hotel. The reason for writing this was just to say how friendly and helpful the staff were - Check in, evening meal and breakfast were spot on and all staff were so lovely. It was clear to see at dinner that they were short staffed but this didn’t affect the service in the slightest. Thank you!

The room was incredibly hot and as usual the temperature controls in the room don't work and after time spent fiddling, you remember you have to ask hotel staff to help. Twice I went to reception to ask for help with the room temperature but nothing changed. In the end, we all had an awful nights sleep, the kids had to sleep with wet towels to try to cool them down. The following day I was able to wedge open the room door for a while to try and cool the room down (air con was advertised and working in other pats of the hotel). A manager arrived onsite mid morning and on checking confirmed there was an issues with the temp controls and the room was at 27c! On the plus side, breakfast was good.

Normally haven’t had an issue with the hotel before however this time wad disappointed that the bedding wasn’t fully clean ,the TV/remote didn’t work but then when I left I realise I left two necklaces that only had sentimental value I knew exactly where it was which was On an on a table in the room never forgotten it before but with rushing around with children to get out the room , when I rang up two hours later from leaving the hotel the receptionist apparently checked but conveniently was nowhere to be seen so obviously been stolen by someone who works there and they didn’t care They didn’t help or do further investigation
