Ermitage Wellness- & Spa-Hotel

Absolutely magnificent hotel, located in a beautiful environment. The rooms overlooking the countryside and the swimming pools offer an incredible view. They are modern, very clean and well soundproofed. The spa, swimming pools, relaxing room, saunas… are amazing. The staff is attentive, very professional and helpful. We really appreciated that the directors came to say goodbye to us. The breakfasts and dinners are of very good quality and generous. It was such a real pleasure to stay at this hotel. We can't wait to come back.

We stayed in room 601 for 4 nights, it had a lovely view, very quiet, soundproof room. The rooms are very clean, everything perfect. A lovely surprise on arrival on finding out we had afternoon tea included ( homemade walnut cake is delicious) and an evening meal, we thought it was of very good value. Everyone working here are polite and welcoming, a special thank you to Grit, she was lovely and very helpful, she told us a lot about the hotel and area, we’ve stayed in Gstaad 4 times over the last 2 yrs and she told us things we didn’t know. Hotel is in a convenient location, train station 5 min walk away, also cable car. 8 mins drive into Gstaad itself. We loved the hotel so much we have cancelled our booking at another hotel in December and coming back to the ERMITAGE for 4 nights! 🎄

Lovely hotel. Lots of food, close to hikes, nice pool. In heatwave was hard to sleep …even a small fan in each room would help. I also wish they had told me about water charge at meals as I would have filled my water bottle from tap in room. Otherwise highly recommend

Exceptionally nice hotel My son took eight of our family here and we all loved it. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and the food is lovely . We had three bedrooms in total, all great with large balconies overlooking the stunning mountain scenery The younger ones all enjoyed the pools and as the weather was grey and mizzly my wife and I were extremely happy just to relax in the hotel with the odd short excursion on the great mountain railway which is a five minute. walk away. Personally I have never been in a nicer hotel, even better than Gleneagles (which my son also took us to)

Recommended by a friend who has come here for years ( as every other guest we encountered), we were delighted with our stay. The location is perfect, the spa area perfect, the pools, wonderful, the food great, guided hiking ..excellent..the least expensive rooms were small but very efficient, although the larger rooms, really nice, quieter with great views.

My husband and I stayed for 2 days midweek. Fortunately the snow arrived with us and we had tow of the best days cross country skiing ever rental and trail within walking distance. Loved the hotel. Take the meals option as there are very few restaurants in town Food is plentiful and very good. Loved the 3pm cake station Spa and salt water pools were delightful. Very clean and quiet There is a small ladies only spa too service was excellent Mostly all the staff were fluent in English and we had no trouble communicating

Hmmm what do I say.. the warmth of the hotel staff right from check-in, to room service to the restaurants and the bar and the coffee shop and our favorite the piano man.. the pool, steam sauna.. absolutely all were much above par this is one of the best place we have stayed in Europe.. There is so much positive vibes and things that I can’t write I would suggest everyone traveling to Swiss should go here to experience. Thank you team Ermitage you, your room, your hospitality was astounding and out of this world - thank you so much for a wonderful stay that we had at your beautiful resort. Just few suggestions pls - Put an air conditioner into the hotels, restaurants and the rooms as all the places were a bit stuffy especially the restaurants. - you have invested in making 4-5 amazing restaurant rooms and I suggest you keep moving the guests every day to experience the different rooms. - Vegetarian food could be improved for the dinner main course. Exceptionally nice wellness area, very generous and tasty breakfast and delicious dinners. The room was nicely decorated, spacious and quiet. The hotel is very clean and the staff are all friendly and helpful.

Whew...this is a destination! Recently had a 5 night stay here, prompted by previous wonderful stays at the Ermitage's sister resort, Hotel Beatus. Hotel is easy to reach on the efficient train and a 3 minute walk from the train station. Hotel is very clean, staff is impeccable with guest service. Most guests speak German for first language and second most popular language that I heard was French. I REALLY like staying at hotels like this where there are potentially minimum American tourists. Other guests were a true delight and I very much enjoyed conversations and hiking excursions with them. Complementary newspapers in German or French. I am OK with this, even though I can't read either as I am in Switzerland and English is not one of the official languages. A couple of TV stations in English. But not much time in my room...lots to do! Food quality and variety were beyond my expectations. Breakfast starts at 7:30, lunch 12-2:00 and dinner from 7:00. I would personally prefer dinner at 6:00 or 6:30. Guided hiking excursions are 11 of 10 as hiking staff stellar. Pools and wellness were awarded some prestigious Swiss award and were wonderful. I wasn't thrilled about the layout of my single room facing park side. Hope I like my single park side room for summer, 2023 better. Minibar refrigerator was the tiniest I have seen. Red painting of cow in my room was a little unusual to me.
