Sonder Telfair Square

Great location & great appliances!! Not Sonders fault, but Construction in the alley in the mornings was EXTREMELY loud

Sleeping room without window, uncomfortable mattess in King bed, horrible matress in sleeping sofa, no recommendation!

The property was great, you can walk to everything.

This booking was a nigh**are from the start. Customer service was useless. NEVER book a Sonder.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! Worst travel experience we’ve ever had. This is not a regular hotel. They do not have a front desk. Every entrance code they gave us was wrong. After an hour and a half of trying to get in they told us they gave our room to someone else because one of their other buildings had a leak. This was after we had to walk from a parking garage almost a mile away with all of our stuff and waited in the rain and they just said oops nvm we’re going to send you somewhere else. Awful company, awful customer service.

Great space in a great location .. right in the middle of shopping/restaurant district. Yet we heard no street noise.

Sonder is a bit of a drag to work with: didn’t realize that there is another step to reserve beyond **********. You have to provide scans of IDs, do a face scan, and give your credit card info again. Apar**ent was well situated, walkable to most historical district attractions. Unit is comfortable and well supplied. A little spartan but fine for our purposes. Some noise from restaurant across the alley which is why they provide a white noise generator and earplugs. Garage is about 4 blocks away - a reasonable walk. Area is safe and clean.

We had a number of housecleaning issues when we arrived at the property - dirty glass with lipstick on it, no top sheet on the bed, thermostat set to 66 degrees which could not be changed, broken ironing board, towels still damp, all of which was an inconvenience but Sonder repaired any problems we did not personally handle ourselves the next day. The real problem with this apar**ent is the windows in the main room. They are single pane and the apar**ent is directly above a biscuit restaurant and across the alley from a Mexican restaurant. You hear everything. From rowdy late night parties at the Mexican place to 4 a.m. deliveries at all of the restaurants that back up to the alley. You literally can listen to conversations. Sonder puts ear plugs by the bed with a note that says you may expect to hear city noises. What they need to do is put new windows in that block the noise. Overall, a beautiful little apar**ent with some housekeeping issues but horrible sound prevention. Love the concept of Sonder but would not recommend this apar**ent if you are planning on sleeping at all during your stay.
