Phoenix Island Ocean Dream Resort

Upon arrival, the staff were a bit unfriendly towards foreigners. We were told that check-in was at 15:00, but still told us that our rooms hadn’t been cleaned. There were cigarette buds under the beds and the robes were torn. Even after they had said that they cleaned the rooms, there were still sand in our beds and on the floors. The overall experience wasn’t nice

The hotel room was beautiful and very clean with a lovely view. I was absolutely obsessed with the bathtub on the balcony. It was exactly how I pictured it. The room was cleaned everyday and towels replaced. I was a little surprised by the torn towels I recieved on the first day and the microwave wasn't working in my room. Other than that everything was really great. I highly recommend the stay for couples and people who are looking to have a relaxed holiday away from noise. The location is nice and close to Dadonghai but too far from Houhai where most young people go to hangout in the evenings.

Second time staying at Phoenix Island Resort and I wish I could extend and stay longer. Its fully equipped with a kitchenette, rain shower and the famous balcony bath tub overlooking the calm sea. Check in was smooth and fast then jumped on the battery car to building 3. The battery car runs every fifteen minutes to the main building. I appreciate the great service, late check out and special room request. Highly recommend Phoenix Island Resort. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

If you have little kids don't go there, this place was designed as a living compound not as a hotel. The restaurant is located in a different building so you either take a small car to take you there or walk which if its not raining is not bad but still its a walk.. so in the morning you better go out of your room ready to not come back because the taxis or private cars can only go to that main building where the restaurant and reception are located. Overall too much of a hassle when u want to relax. The breakfast is Fair, has a 65% chinese variety offcourse but u can survive with the remaining 35% of western options. The room was spacious and the shower was great.. although it had some stupid toilet layout where there was no privacy and some things require this even if you are with your partner. The room was cleaned very late, 4 or 5 pm and many times the lady was there when we returned to the room so was a bit annoying to have to wait for the room to be cleaned and not even possible to go to the toilet because of the lack of privacy. It was cheap at the time and at least some kind of modern ambience. The pool is quite cold. For me the fact that you have to walk from the main gate to the building because the cars are not allowed inside makes me to not consider this place again.

Amazing views and the room was massive. Definitely recommend. It’s very close to everything most places are only around 10 mins taxi ride away.

I am very happy with this hotel. The only downside is bad internet connection. Almost all my stay I had to use my mobile internet. Other than that all was perfect. Big room with a huge balcony with a sea view. An amazing bath tub in the balcony. This is where I Spent my evenings! Definitely would stay next time in Sanya.

Hotel is amazing Bathtubs on balcony lovely Bed big and comfortable Pool area large and comfortable - few people. Rooms HUGE and balcony amazing view Reception staff provided me with wechat for any issues. Only downside - when your a budget traveller - 1000 yuan deposit is a lot!

Best hotel I’ve stayed in a long while the environment is so comfortable the atmosphere is nice the rooms are big the staffs are friendly everything about this place is 5star definitely recommend
