Shangri-La Sanya

Eu não ficaria aqui novamente. Não vale a pena. Em meus mais de 5 anos morando na China e usando o Trip.com, esta é a primeira vez que escrevo uma crítica ruim. Devo começar dizendo que a equipe é incrivelmente cortês, apenas incompetente. Do pessoal só havia o Vito, que foi gentil e ágil no check-in e acompanhamento. É claro que todos os outros que trabalham lá têm um trabalho muito difícil e, embora tenham cometido alguns erros aqui e ali, entendo que o Natal pode ser uma época do ano muito ocupada. Nesses casos, o gerente Brian foi muito gentil em tentar ajudar a resolvê-los. No entanto, no geral, o hotel possui políticas que são simplesmente inaceitáveis. Em primeiro lugar, após o check-in, disseram-me que haveria um festival de música a acontecer mesmo ao lado do hotel. Então, por 2 dias, tive que ouvir EDM sem parar durante a tarde e a noite. Foi tão ruim que meu quarto literalmente vibrava com a música até meia-noite. Se eu tivesse sido avisado disso com antecedência, teria escolhido outro lugar. Mas, em vez disso, eles escolheram o caminho sorrateiro e não disseram nada até que eu já tivesse pago o depósito e estivesse no quarto. Tão sombrio. Em segundo lugar, Trip.com lista este lugar como tendo uma “área de praia exclusiva”, mas não havia nada disso. Existe um caminho para a praia, mas no caminho você encontrará uma placa que diz que não há ligação com Shangri-La. Há uma pequena quantidade de cadeiras de praia por aí, mas, novamente, eles dizem que isso não é propriedade deles, então fiquei preocupado o tempo todo por estar me intrometendo. Além disso, ainda é uma caminhada bastante longa, então lembre-se de trazer todas as suas coisas (água, toalha, lanche, etc), pois o retorno à propriedade levará algum tempo. Além disso, a área não permite nadar. É claro que isso é algo que eles não podem controlar, mas se você espera nadar no oceano, isso irá decepcioná-lo. Em terceiro lugar, o café da manhã estava uma bagunça. Estou plenamente ciente de que as coisas são diferentes durante um feriado, mas não cabiam todos no restaurante, então eles tiveram que criar uma “área de café da manhã” adicional que tivesse cerca de metade das opções - e então empurrá-lo para longe nesta pequena área lotada. salão de baile. Aprendi no segundo dia que havia uma opção de pátio sem espera e, na verdade, eu queria sentar do lado de fora de qualquer maneira, mas ninguém me disse que isso estava disponível. Mesmo assim tive que pedir os meus próprios talheres (deram-me um conjunto infantil), não limparam as mesas e ninguém prestou atenção em mim até que finalmente demonstrei alguma frustração. Quarto, o local é muito voltado para famílias. Este lugar tem os recursos mais “adequados para crianças” de todos os hotéis de Sanya em que me hospedei, e se você é pai, isso é ótimo. No entanto, se você está procurando um retiro tranquilo, recomendo que procure algum lugar bem distante. Durante toda a minha estadia, tive que lidar com crianças gritando e seus pais gritando mais alto (duas famílias brigaram na piscina e ninguém fez nada além de olhar). É definitivamente algo a ter em conta ao planear a sua estadia. Honestamente, eu queria passar o mínimo de tempo possível na propriedade. Foi muito frustrante, muito barulhento, muito desorganizado e um desperdício de meu dinheiro. Este lugar está aproveitando o nome “Shangri-La” para cobrar caro demais.

Wonderful hotel with lots of activities for the whole family. Breakfast was rich and varied. Swimming pool is huge and the gardens are wonderful. Phoebe did a wonderful job helping us to settle and recommend fun things to do.

The room/bed/room service/maids/breakfast cannot be beat. It is out of town and the property is spread out. Remember that!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Shangri-La Hotel, Sanya for two nights, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Phoebe for arranging an upgraded room for me, as well as allowing for a late check-out. These small gestures truly made my stay all the more enjoyable. The upgraded room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The attention to detail in the room's design and amenities was evident, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious stay. The hotel's staff were also exceptional, always friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to meet my needs. From the moment I checked in until the time of my departure, I felt genuinely welcomed and well-cared for. In addition to the excellent accommodation, the hotel offered a wide range of amenities and facilities. The swimming pool was a refreshing oasis, and the on-site restaurants provided delicious culinary delights. Overall, my stay at Shangri-La Hotel, Sanya was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of Phoebe's thoughtful arrangements, the luxurious accommodations, and the outstanding service left a lasting impression. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and delightful stay in Sanya. Thank you, Shangri-La Hotel, for an unforgettable experience!

Great! Cool! Beautiful beach, pine forest and wonderful field with palm trees. And the staff Ms.Phoebe's smile was nice! Wonderful Shangri-La.

Ms. Phoebe, the butler, is a very enthusiastic and friendly beauty. She provided us with meticulous care and excellent service during our stay in Sanya, making us feel at home. During these few days of pleasant time, she always smiled and patiently answered every one of our questions, trying her best to meet our needs. Her professionalism and meticulous service have added many wonderful memories to our journey. We look forward to meeting her again and enjoying her incomparable thoughtful service once more.

Shangri-La Lite All the high prices but non of the expected services you'd expect of a Shangri-La. It's very Chinese orientated, which let's be honest is fair enough, but I've stayed at far lesser hotels in Sanya with much better understanding of us "laowais". It also seems to firmly go after the family market (which again is fine) but if you are sans children then maybe not the best option.

This hotel is bad. Probably the worst Shangri-la I have stayed in the world. As a golden circle member this place does not live up to the branding as per expectation. It’s my first time traveling alone to Sanya with a 1.5 year old toddler, and as a form of familiarity I chose to stay in Shangri-la given their usual high standards in service, quality and experience. Within China, I’ve stayed in Shangri-La Shanghai, and the service was immaculate. When I checked in at 3pm, the room was not ready I had to wait for another half an hour. How is it not ready when check in time is at 3pm? I had a long flight and a toddler in hand with two huge luggage and a hand carrier yet no one offered any help, as “they were busy”. The counter was in total mess and the staff look very lost. After waiting for 30 minutes I finally gotten my special theme room, I was excited and couldnt wait to see my toddler’s expression when she sees the monkey toys. She was indeed very happy, but not long after, the toilet in the room emitted a foul smell! Ive booked their theme room as it was a special celebration for my toddler. I was told there is only one such room. They suggested to change us to another room or we risk hanging out with even more pungent smell with my toddler for at least an hour while the plumber fix it. They explained that the hotel is old and this foul smell is inevitable. Travelling with a toddler it was extremely inconvenient to be changing rooms and moving up and down. It was a bummer because the whole idea of going to Shangri la Sanya was to let my kid enjoy the theme room with her favourite character. Imagine having to pay for a specific theme room and ending up with a poorer version. And I was so helpless with a toddler. Anyway I had to switch rooms, repacked my luggage, lugged them and my kid again. This new room had a poorer view it was slightly blocked, one floor lower, and not the same theme that I booked for so my kid didnt really enjoy. And Guess what, the toilet also emitted a foul smell after an hour. This time I had given up. So we went for the hotel train ride for kids, the staff told me it was not available “as they said there is an excursion and guests are not allowed to use the train until very much later in the day”. If you travel with kids you’ll know they have sleep schedule and how to be using your services later in the day? So I pretty much wasted my day here in shangri la waiting to check in, changing rooms, walking to the train and never get to take it and going back to my room. The staff could at least informed us when we check in that the train was not available but they didnt. The next day, had breakfast, I left my table to get a drink for my toddler, the waiter cleared all my food without even asking if I was done. Mine you, those food I took, I had to carry my kid all around the restaurant to bring them to the table, only to get them cleared out!! They should totally give me a discount on my room rates. Then I arranged for airport transfer, they charge exorbitantly compared to other hotels, informed them to prepare a child seat a day before, they said ok, and yet they blatantly left that out. It was 4.30am in the morning there was no child seat and I had to carry my toddler the whole 3 hours journey in this ~USD400 airport transfer. The hotel wasnt even apologetic about it and the driver just rush me into the car and drove off. Not even caring for the safety of me and my baby!! I was tired and scared at the same time. I used to have very good things to say about Shang, but this one, I highly will never recommend this place to anyone going to Sanya. I hope if the right management sees this, to improve on your hotel standards.
