This is the third time I have the chance to stay at Zuana. I love it in here but I gotta say this one wasn't that good. Starting with good, cool stuff, I want to shout out for the fantastic girl who kept my room clean, perfect and spotless all the time and went the extra mile to provide premium service to most of my needs, Liseth Ferrer really knows about customer service! And also I want to root for cool man Joseph our waiter/bartender at the beach and pool whose charisma and charming service really made our days brighter while resting. Most of the staff's customer service is awesome but the customer service one experiences at front desk and specially with the call center people is honestly awkward. Now the 'not so cool spart'... It feels like some things around the hotel have been around for a good while, like at the gym, most of the weights and grips are the same ones I used the first time I stayed here (6 years ago) and now they're rusty and can mess up your clothes if not careful, not only by having contact but also because they let go some rusty dust. Same happens at the bar where you can play Billiards, among other utensils around restaurants, beach & pool areas. I would recommend that you guys come up with more disposal cans where recyclable waste can be properly separated, there are some but not enough in the most important areas where they should be. In general, I love visitin Santa Marta and staying at Zuana. Work out the little patchy things and your experience will be a 5 stars in short time :)

We had a nice welcoming when we arrived. The hotel has good facilities but needs better care, the swimming pool was full of leaves and insects so we decided not to use it. The hotel is expensive for what it offers as services. There is no active reception, if you need something you have to go after people in the restaurant, which are really slow. They don’t have an adequate sense of time. They usually stand in a corner and talk to each other without prioritizing their guests. During our three night stay two times the internet was not working for half a day and there was no one there who could help. If you need to take a flight the next day, don’t count on the internet to work to complete your checkin and documents. Also no one knows English well so if you’re not Spanish speaker you will have a hard time there. We asked one of the staff to warm up the sauna but it was not turned on, we asked them again and nothing happened. We asked them to pay the bills the night before we leave since we had an early flight the next day, but they postponed it to next morning. In the morning they made us wait for half an hour because they showed up late and then didn’t know how the payments machine works. They knew we were in a hurry to get to the airport. We were also delayed for our visit to Tayrona park because the breakfast service was slow, even though the staff was aware of our departure time and we showed up at breakfast half an hour in advance. The key system for our room door was also not working very well, making it difficult to lock the door. In general everything simply felt unreliable.

Just spent one night in the presidential suite before heading out of the country. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the amazing location of this hotel. Eliana was a wonderful, warm presence at check-in and Jesus was amazing as well. He made us feel like family. This establishment gives you privacy of a hotel with the warm feel of a bed and breakfast. If you're looking to splurge on the presidential suite, you'll enjoy an awesome room and with amazing views of the city. We stayed on a Saturday night and I slept very well even with all the partying nearby. My partner didn't sleep as well, but he is a super light sleeper. Great hotel!

Let me start by saying that this hotel is far from Santa Marta. Its approx 15km away, so any cab that you take, the fare will be a bit pricey (we are not foreigners). I will try to break the review by areas, so I will start with the checking process. Once we arrived we were greeted by the recepcionist, she was very attentive, briefly explained the amenities, and checked us in. We waited for our room to be ready. The room we had was in a 5th floor with ocean view. The room was simple yet comfortable. 2 beds, smarttv, a/c etc etc. The beds ands pillows were comfortable and more importantly the housekeeping ladies did a great job. The restaurant offers a buffet only for breakfast (20.000 COP p/p) . The choices could have been a bit more ”international” . It offers soup , rice, scrambled eggs and some protein (chicken,beef,pork) for the hot dishes. Fresh fruit only papaya, pineapple and watermelon. For juices, OJ and another kind. There is no omelett station, although you can order fried eggs or an omelette directly from the server. There is waffle iron to make your own waffles. Variety of breads plus local pastries and local baked goods. The prices for lunch and dinner can be a bit pricey. The food is good. The pool area is great, lots of space. Two big pools (kiddy pool and adult pool) however is missing ambience, some background music would be nice. There is a pool bar but apparently only opens on weekends and the servers are not bartenders , the drinks were terrible. I dont recommend them. The beach area is quiet, relaxing and of course there are vendors coming to your tent every 5 min offering food, drinks, trinkets etc etc. My husband and I had a great time. If you have children its great for families too. If you are a couple its also amazing. I can and will recommend this hotel. If you have other questions I can gladly answer them.
