Don't come if you have another choice. We were staying nearby and the restaurant was closed so we came twice. Both times no one was at reception and had to wait to get someone. At the restaurant it took almost a half an hour to get a menu and a lot of the items were unavailable. There are dogs running loose. The second time we never got our drinks nor did they others around us. The chef told us it was open and that she'd get the waiter. The man who was the waiter sat in a hammock for 15 minutes before asking if we wanted, and then continued to be on his phone in the kitchen while we waited an hour with small children. The food was lackluster. The dogs kept begging for food to the point of sitting on our bench next to my 4 year old. At one point they started growling and fighting and no one did anything. We walked up and left. We told the person st reception and she didnt look surprised. We were very grateful we weren't staying here!

I can't even say enough about this litte treasure in the jungle ....... I've stayed at several hostels in Minca and this one surpassed them all ........ PERFECTO !!!! The amenities, the staff was awesome ......... the pool, river, food ......... I could go on and on !!!! Chunuu is a 10 out of 10 in my book !!! I'll be back soon with more folks !!!

I stopped by out of interest, waited a very long time behind the other unthoughtful couple, finally I was acknowledged by the receptionist and she took like 10 minutes seeing if they had availability. The price was astronomical. She was nice though. Other guests were aggressive or super self-absorbed, doing disservice to the surrounding area. Difficult to get to via the quebrada.

Perfect to relax!!! River running by the side of my room, connected with nature - trail are top in Minca. The staff was friendly, food was fantastic and the overall experience was just made to order. Great place to rest and to meet new people.

Nice place but terribly tan. I left my shoes outside drying and they got stolen by a staff member. First I thought they just moved them until days later they were still saying “they can’t find them”. I have CCTV of the caretaker stealing the shoes, unfortunately I can’t upload the video here but below are pictures. Avoid this place, your stuff isn’t safe and they ignore all of your messages. Was I not running for a bus I would have gotten the police involved.

Such wasted potential. It is located in the lovely Minca village, just next to the river. The yard and outdoor facilities are really unique and quite fantastic. So many options to chill and feel like you're in nature. Having said that, the value for money is so bad. Our room (90$ a night) wasn't very clean and had a constant smell of urine and sewer. The breakfast was ok the first day, but uneatable the second day (most of the guests left their plates quite full). The restaurant has very few options, so you must walk ~15 minutes to the village every time you want to eat something, especially if you're vegetarian.. Some of the staff were nice, others were not nice at all. When we left I had to carry our suitcases up the many stairs, even though I had asked them to help me with it 1.5 hours before we left. We ended up almost missing our bus from Santa Marta. Not cool
