English & Español (debajo) I called the hotel and asked them if they offered any special honeymoon accommodations. I was told to include a comment in my reservation mentioning that I wanted the honeymoon package. I made a reservation through the Los Tajibos website. The morning after making the reservation I called to make sure they had made a note about my request and got verbal confirmation of such. When we arrived nothing of what they had mentioned (rose petals, champagne bottle, or breakfast in bed next morning) were set up or scheduled. To makes matters even worse, the room smelt like a wet dog. I went to the front desk with my complains. To no avail I was told that there was nothing they could do and that didn’t see my request on their system. I tried to be proactive and tell them that I was willing to even pay more to find a quick solution to the matter, but I was turned down and told there was nothing they could do. To make matters even worse, I tried to use the shower later that day and the cold water was shut off making it impossible to jump in the shower because of the scorching hot water. I was told by a staff member that this may be due to the work they are doing on the new buildings. Nevertheless, at no point during my stay or to this day was I offered an apology or remediation. I spend half of the year staying in different hotels and this has been by far the worst experience and service. I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for your lounging accommodations. Los Tajibos didn’t measure up to the special occasion and didn’t even try to make up for it. I have a really hard time understanding how it is 5-star hotel is specially compared to other newer alternatives in Santa Cruz. As I side note, I also had dinner at Jardin de Asia and had to wait over 90 min to get our food after ordering. Unfortunately, this hotel has become a far cry from what it once was. FYI: I stayed in room 156 on December 30th, 2021. Llamé al hotel y les pregunté si ofrecían algún paquete especial para luna de miel. Me dijeron que incluyera un comentario en mi reserva mencionando que quería el paquete de luna de miel. Hice una reserva a través de la web de Los Tajibos. Marriott Santa Cruz de la Sierra Hotel

Wow! Great rooms. This was the first time I had a room with floor to ceiling glass windows. The corner room that we got ran the glass around one side of the room and down the other side. The effect was spectacular, dramatic, and at night, romantic. Although Santa Cruz is not exactly New York City, the effect at night was still pretty impressive. We were in room 1510. Everything about the rooms was first class including the sliding doors in the bathroom, the big screen tv, and two queen beds with great mattresses and pillows. We booked this hotel because we just needed a one night layover between our trip to La Paz and our flight back to California. We wanted to be near the airport and this property was about as close as we could find. The hotel is still about 20-30 minutes from the airport but the drive was fairly simple. The taxi to the hotel was just a bit more than the Uber back to the airport. Although we were there for just a few hours, we did find that there are quite a few shopping centers within walking distance close by including the huge Ventura Mall (about 10 minutes away).

Boutique hotel virtually perfect for Covid-19. With this new world, look for no other hotel but Cosmopolitan Hotel Boutique. Given its size, it is the perfect place to live during your time in Santa Cruz - smaller hotel means less rooms, less people walking around = Covid-19 safe! Clean, safe neighbourhood, fantastic breakfast, friendly staff, IG ready foyer, and seriously close to everything you will need. Everything is within a 2 min to 9 min walking distance. Access to taxis within an instant!

I stayed here for a few days during a business trip. The hotel is very central and well appointed. It served well as a business hotel for my trip, but would be equally at home as a holiday destination. The pool area and spa were excellent and the hotel was modern and very welcoming. I had breakfast and lunch in the restaurant and was very satisfied with each. The breakfast buffet offered a good deal of choice and I ordered a la carte for lunch which was delicious – chicken stew followed by sizzling sirloin steak. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help, but having a little Spanish will help you as not everyone speaks English. I managed with the very basics of Spanish and a little help from google translate! I had a king suite in the new part of the hotel above the spa and found the room to be excellent. (See the pictures attached). The pool and rear of the hotel is very close to a busy road, so the noise may be an issue. On the other side of the road is a huge shopping mall, which whilst I didn’t have time to visit did look impressive. If you are holidaying or on business I can recommend this hotel.
