The resort was beautiful, the room was comfortable and clean. We brought our golden retriever and it was a very pleasant stay for him as well. The location is close enough to the shops and restaurants of State St. but far enough away to be peaceful and not too crowded. My only complaint is the food. We ate at all of the different restaurants and each time we were so disappointed by the quality of the food and the prices were astronomical. I don't mind paying a lot for good food, but this food was worse than what I make at home and I am not a good cook! My daughter ordered the lobster roll at The Set and it was terrible. $30 down the drain. We had breakfast at The Roundhouse and the avocado toast was beyond bland. Then we tried lunch at the Terraza del Mar - I got a chicken Cesar salad and my daughter got a poke bowl. The salad was cole slaw mix and chicken, that was it. Her poke bowl didn't have the rice that it was supposed to have and was horrible, she couldn't have more than a couple bites. I would stay at the resort again, but would never eat at any of their restaurants again. Better to Doordash or eat off property.

Inn by the Harbor has a nice location, but a bit far to walk to the beach and to the business district. However, if you have a car then it should not be a problem. It has a lovely inner yard with some nice plants. The staff is very attentive to requests. The happy hour drinks and the continental breakfast were good.
