Hosted by the Penz family, you’ll receive the warmest of welcomes on arrival at Hotel Himmlhof and their attentive, yet relaxed service, throughout your stay. Nothing is too much trouble and they delight in making your visit one to remember. Conveniently situated in the heart of St Anton village, the hotel is close to restaurants, bars, ski hire and many other local amenities including the railway station. It is also only a 5 minute walk away from the main Gampenbahn cable car which is the most immediate way to get up into the main ski area. Don’t let me forget to mention the hotel included ski and boot storage less than 50m from the cable car, saving you carrying boots and ski’s, therefore leaving you to wander back to the hotel via your favourite après ski bar. The hotel ambience is true Austrian hospitality at its very best. Comfortable and beautifully well appointed rooms, delicious breakfasts and after your day on the slopes a very welcome afternoon tea. And if that is not enough then why not take advantage of the spa facilities before going into the village for dinner. On that note there is plenty of choice of local restaurants and the reception will be able to advise on where to go, even booking your table (recommended). In summary Hotel Himmlhof is a charming hotel, an absolute gem in the heart of St Anton where you will feel perfectly at home.

A wonderful Austrian experience awaits in this cozy, beautifully decorated luxury hotel. Family-run for multiple generations, the staff is kind, friendly, and highly accommodating. Enjoy a great daily buffet and afternoon snack, an excellent selection of Austrian wines, and a full-service bar. The hotel is located within a short distance of the St. Anton après-ski scene, offering a quick walk to the action while being situated on a quiet street just far enough away. It is also an easy walk to the ski lifts, with ski and boot storage at the ski area included. The hotel boasts a great spa with a pool, saunas, steam room, and a polar plunge pool, perfect for working out the post-ski kinks before heading out for dinner. Highly recommended.

We have enjoyed the Penz' gracious hospitality annually for nearly 20 years with friends, family and recently solo. Marguerite, Sebastian & now Christopher, Julia and an active Henry (2yrs) are always most welcoming, helpful with dinner reservations and keep us smiling with daily afternoon post skiing eats oft accompanied with a glass of recommended wine or spirits. Rooms are classic Tyrol and there a charming spa awaiting! I'd definitely rate at 5 stars 👍

This hotel is the best hotel where we've ever stayed! Sebastian and his staff are incredible! They make you feel like family. Their hotel is immaculate and spotless all the time. The food is outstanding and the amenities are fantastic. Pool, sauna, steam, cold plunge. The perfect way to end the day after some amazing skiing. The attention to detail is first rate. You must stay at the Himmlhof if you come to St. Anton!

I have been lucky enough to stay and some very fine luxury resorts around the world. I have just returned to the US from staying for 6 days at Himmlhoff and felt compelled to write a review as soon as I could. This is the most charming hotel I have ever stayed at. It is luxurious but truly authentic to its Austrian heritage, culture, and style. You feel like family because the family that runs it treats you like family. Every detail has been thought of from the rooms, to the dining area, to the beautiful spa below. The morning breakfast was absolutely delicious, with fresh made breads, homemade jam, honey on the honeycomb, as well as eggs, sausage, and the standard fare. There are also daily appetizers at 3:30 that change by the day, and wine and cocktails to order (note there is no full service restaurant but all the restaurants in town are steps away). Even when there is no food available you can smell something lovely baking in the oven. The family and other staff were warm, welcoming and very attentive to all of our needs. I stayed there with 3 dear friends and we had constant questions and requests that were all met with such kindness. I very much hope to stay there again and recommend to anyone!

The finest hotel. Once you have enjoyed the Himmlhof, you won’t look elsewhere. We have been coming back for many years and it never disappoints. Starting with the warm welcome from the Penz family, through to the spa, cleanliness, breakfast, rooms and bedding - every detail has been covered off and is perfect. Would strongly recommend.
