"Since 2020, I've been vacationing in Japan for three weeks every November, staying at countless hot spring hotels of all sizes. Ratings range from high-end to high-end, such as Zabourin in Hokkaido, Minakami, and Senjuan, as well as various Kusatsu hot spring hotels. This old hot spring hotel definitely ranks among the top three. The female owner speaks excellent English and is extremely courteous. The hot spring water is very special; my skin felt incredibly smooth after soaking. There are public baths and private baths, but the temperatures are not very high, although the owner specifically mentioned this. The room includes two meals: breakfast and dinner. The food was incredibly delicious and creative, incorporating Western cuisine. The menu was extensive. I'm very picky, and this is the first time I've taken the time to write a review and recommend a meal. I noticed that this hotel has been operating since 1955 (Showa 30). Although the main building is currently under maintenance, you can still feel the charm of this old hot spring inn. If you enjoy good food, beautiful scenery, and soaking in a secluded hot spring, I highly recommend staying for two nights."
