Beautifully appointed hotel in the old town with fabulous views over the bay. The roof terrace is a treasure, what a place to enjoy a late afternoon drink and watch the sunset! The staff were all very good - everything was made to feel effortless and we had a very relaxed stay at the hotel. Breakfasts were excellent and hats off to the team - they were so organised and friendly - just like being in the best pintxo bar in the old town! Only feedback for future guests is that you can't sleep with your window open due to the all night noise in the old town - the rooms have excellent windows and block the noise but you need the aircon (we don't like aircon so we didn't sleep as well as we're used to as a result - I can't fault the hotel in any way but just feedback for others.)

unfortunately the room was not so clean on arrival, we found dark hair in the bathroom and a soft drink bottle with cigarette stubs on the balcony. the room had a whirlpool, however, the hotel staff explaining how it works only spoke local languages. we decided to have breakfast outside the hotel as it was extremely expensive. The hotel is the only 5 star that we found directly at the beach. Parking was very well organised and directly in front of the hotel, the beds were good and so was the shower and bathroom facilities. Next time we would look for a hotel with better value for money.

This was our first time in San Sebastian. I normally do extensive research when it comes to hotels, but given the international brand name, I figured this was a slam dunk. Well, I was right. Hotel Nobu was a NoDuh as far as we were concerned. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and this was our last of three countries we were visiting. It was our favorite by the way. We do want to give a shout out to Amaya, Nefer, Isidoro (Isi), Marta and Danielle. ALL amazing staff who were so attentive, friendly and really went the extra mile to make us feel spoiled. We had a rough time getting to Spain and they, in their own ways, wanted us to feel special and appreciated so we want them to know we appreciate that. To wrap this up, I would say you are moronic for not staying at Hotel Nobu if you come to this area. It is a small 17 room hotel where you do not see children (which we loved) and it is quiet, elegant and classy. I recommend a suite with an ocean view and advise you speak to one of the people named in this review. We hope to see them again.

Location location location! Situated on edge of old town next to the bay, this hotel was fabulously located to get everywhere. Comfy beds and helpful staff. Check in with a glass of local wine and got a map of good pinto bars and local restaurants- all proved accurate. Staff were great at calling cabs etc.

The hotel surpassed our expectation, very pleasant stay, the service is unbearable especially the breakfast, talent made most of the items, personal touch which is hard to find these days elsewhere. Very new and chic design, small and feels home away from home. Definitely will come back again when we visit the city!

The hotel is an easy 10-15 minute walk from the city centre, and is located on a traffic island next to San Sebastian's busy riverside highway. The location is so so (but handy if you need the hotel's parking spaces). The main business of the hotel is hosting coach tours; this is not somewhere for a family holiday or business visitor. Strengths include attractive and spacious ground floor lounges with a busy bar and good food, cheerful staff, and spacious rooms. The breakfast is vast and excellent. But there is a lack of attention to detail: no iron, the desk cluttered by the television, the failure to collect my laundry, noise from spindly iron chairs on the floor above that need rubber feet; tables not cleared quickly enough at breakfast to cope with the coach tour crowds. In summary - ”adequate” (but could be excellent...)

We loved our time at Akelarre and hope to return. The location and the views are spectacular. The hotel staff were very professional and thoughtful -- helping us to plan activities in the area. The hotel design and overall aesthetic is beautiful including the rooms. We ate at the hotel several times -- the service and food were outstanding with many options of regional food and fresh/local ingredients.

In July 2023 we were travelling around in Spain without much of a plan. That is great of course but also comes with some challenges. For example, we ended up in San Sebastian during a festive week without any hotel reservations. Not our best idea as most hotels were fully booked. Luckily the Hotel Antik had one room left, so we decided to book the room as the reviews were pretty good. The hotel lobby is neat and looks up-to-date and the hotel is nicely located just outside San Seb. Enough public transport to take you to the city center. After arrival we first checked out the room... Well... That didn't meet expectations to say the least. The room was very, very old and falling apart. It was noisy (think the noise came from the elevator?), the toilet was standing loose on the floor and the water kept running, dirty shower curtain... I honestly don't know how (or when) they got a 4 star grading or such a good reviews. Maybe we just had the worst room in the building but I don't think it is worth the money unfortunately.

Loved this hotel! Would highly recommend it to all our friends and family. The position is perfect and the welcome we received was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was gorgeous. Two pretty shuttered windows overlooking the cathedral and square, fantastic bathroom and we both said the most comfortable bed we have slept on in an hotel for a while! Also the blackout blinds were excellent. House keeping just fantastic, so clean and tidy everyday. Narru the hotel restaurant was delicious and ate there twice!! You must book as it is very popular with locals too. The oxtail ravioli, hake with cauliflower and red tuna gazpacho just to highlight a few were just delicious. Above all the service from all the staff was tremendous. Always smiling and ready to offer great recommendations. Thank you for a super stay we will definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay here . The location is perfect , the breakfast was very good and the staff were all friendly. The only problem was the room - it was disappointing and impractical - it was dark and very minimalist. There was nowhere to unpack our clothes so had to live out our suitcase, which is so annoying, and the wardrobe didn't accommodate long items like dresses. There was no full length mirror and the bedside tables were so tiny there was no room for anything. We were in a deluxe room which just meant more empty space in the room. It was cleaned every day and the towels and sheets replaced which was good . Overall it was good but didn't have a homely feel and not somewhere you felt you could hang out there's no real reception area. So in short good location , good breakfast but disappointing and stark room which was shame and I feel would be so easy for the hotel to fix.
