Pension Bule

Excellent situation. Right in the middle of an old town square. Walking distance to everywhere. Immaculate place. Clean, tidy. Access and communication excellent. Delightful staff. Plenty of toiletries, great shower. Could have done with some shelves for clothing and more hangers. Would thoroughly recommend. Great chiller on the Aircon and super little fridge. Great hot drinks statio

This "Pension" is much more like a hostel with private rooms. Great location, but, don't be fooled that this is more like a hotel, it's not. The rooms are clean, but very cheaply put together, All the rooms are near reception, and we could hear EVERYTHING happening there, so assume they could hear the same, so don't go expecting any privacy. The mattress was cheap and not great, but not awful. The building is a mix of commercial and residential with the Pension on the 2nd floor, there is a (very small) elevator, and public parking can be found a 5-8 min walk away. No real room to lock up luggage, but they'll take it and place it near the desk. At the time this was a last-minute booking, it was massively overpriced for what it was, I should have probably booked a hotel in a slightly worse neighborhood instead. If you think of it as a Hostel you'll go in with correct expectations.

This is a lovely place to stay in the old town in San Sebastián. A simple place but immaculately clean and comfortable with warm and friendly staff. We had room 10, slightly larger than some I think, with a small balcony overlooking Plaza Sarriegi. Just outside our room was a tea and coffee station which was great. There's a small bar opposite with tables on the square which might get noisy in warmer weather (we were there in January so no problem). We enjoyed being so close to all the fabulous pinxos bars in the old town. Don't miss the San Telmo museum (free on Tuesdays). No need for a car in SS. We walked everywhere and buses are easy and cheap too - pay on entry with cash or with your credit card.

Property was close to everything. Host was very helpful. Parking is not too far away.

Great location, very friendly staff. Room was very sp****ly furnished with Ikea basics. One chair, one mini desk, a clothing rack with mini fridge and a firm-to-uncomfortable bed. There was hardly any area to set your things down in the bathroom and the towels were thin and small. Only shampoo was offered as toiletries- no bar soap/bath gel for the shower. There was no art in the room at all- white walls only. We could hear the check in desk conversations through the door, as they could likely hear us. One Nespresso coffee pod per person per day was issued to use in the communal kitchen area.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a good location and relatively comfortable. It was excellent value for the money.

Very central to attractions and walking distance to the beach.
