Hotel Don Agustín

Meet and greet and booking were smooth and easy and on-site parking was a definite plus. The room was adequate, if a little dated. Wallpaper was peeling and there was an overwhelming, bad smell throughout the hotel, which worsened if you used the air conditioning. Not great in those kind of temperatures.

This was a great value hotel right on the beach in a lovely location that was quiet but with plenty of restaurants, cafes and other conveniences nearby. Our check in and reception was excellent and all the staff we dealt with here were very friendly and helpful, particularly with assisting us to navigate their on site parking. It was lovely (particularly after a few weeks in Morocco) to have a room with a good value mini bar, good provided toiletries and working air conditioning. This hotel is basic but very comfortable and represents outstanding value for money. Only issue we had here was with the bed. It was a style with the thinner / flexible slats and when we first went into the room my partner sat on the edge of the bed and a number of the slats popped out, this also happened once during the night. As such, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this hotel for larger guests. If you're staying here, make sure you visit Susi GastroTapas Beach House just around the corner on the beachfront for a drink and/or some tapas - highly recommended!
