We came straight to the hotel from the airport and were greeted by friendly staff at check in, and the first night was great. They even sent up an electric tea kettle when I asked how I could get some hot water to make tea with. The next day as we were preparing for the day, my shower turned cold halfway through. This led to a series of miscommunication (and possible lies) from the front desk about how soon someone would come to fix it, and how long it would take to be fixed. I ended up trying to finish my shower in the sink, and waited for over two hours for someone to come, cancelling my plans in the process since I didn’t feel clean enough to go out. No one came, and we were told it was a hotel-wide issue but it would be fixed by 3 pm. Upon returning around 7 pm, we immediately checked if it was fixed. It wasn’t, so we called several more times to check on it before going down to the front desk ourselves and dealing with an incredible impatient and rude employee that seemed inconvenienced by the fact we do not have hot water. They finally decided to move our room after telling us this wasn’t actually a hotel-wide issue, just an issue for our room yet changing rooms was never an option offered until I demanded it. No compensation was offered besides taking off the resort fee for one night. We will not be staying here again after this experience but if you do, we suggest requesting a room besides 620 since it’s “right next to the pipes” and it has issues with hot water.
