The room is quite big, clean and comfortable, the shower water pressure is very good, the weekend price is very expensive, it is recommended to book in advance, not far from the Mexican border, it is very convenient to go to nearby resorts, there are many restaurants nearby.

My room was cancelled 20 minutes before my arrival because my husband booked it online with *********** and used his credit card not mine! The hotel manager cancelled the booking at exactly 6PM citing possible fraud due to a different name on the credit card even though the LAST NAMES WERE THE SAME and both Booking and Motel 6 both allow third party bookings.... I would have had no room available at all, except my husband called and booked again with Motel6 directly and booked the exact same room at 50% ($224 vs $150) more at the last minute! Luckily he was home and saw the cancellation email, otherwise I could have been without a room at all after driving two hours! The manager could care less about their cancellation, even though we had done nothing wrong except use my husbands name to pay, and mine as the occupant! Besides the possible scam to get more money, the room its self was under equipped without a privacy sign, shampoo, a working phone, comforters, the elevator was broken, and it was sparsely furnished. Many negative online reviews are going to follow as every attempt to get just the difference in booking price refunded went rebuffed. They could have simply rebooked the room once it was clear it was indeed a legit booking.

The friend said it was very convenient. It was very pleasant after the stay. The geographical environment was very good. The facilities inside the room are relatively complete. The front desk can also stay 24 hours at night.

Made a last minute decision to spend a day in San Diego. Because it was a last minute decision during a weekend, hotel prices in SoCal were insane. I ended up paying over $100 to stay at this Motel 6 for one night. Honestly, if you pay more than $50 a night, you're being ripped off. Not the best parking lot. I had to park on an extremely sloped part of it that left my vehicle at an almost 45 degree angle side-to-side. Had to step over homeless people to get through the front door of the motel. They were in the lobby too. The motel looks like a homeless shelter both inside and out. Check in and out were okay. Hotel clerks were nice. Most of the rooms in this motel face the inside, which makes the rooms darker, dingier, and more cramped-feeling than they already are. My room was dirty. There were still bits of someone else's dental debris in the sink. Also, black mold on the walls in the shower stall. I love a good, high pressure shower, but the shower had the pressure of a fire hydrant - so good that it hurt! The tub also had a slow drain. Terrible bed. It was essentially on a board and the mattress wasn't very good. Homeless shelter bedding provided, including a thin blanket. No in-room safe. There was a TV but no microwave or fridge. The property is located downtown although not all that close to the major attractions in San Diego if you don't have a car. Balboa Park is a mile away, I believe. Definitely regret staying here.
