The rooms here are dirty I found bed bugs in my room 408 on top of that the sink on the bottom was covered in paint to hide the black mold growing on the walls and cabinets. Managers are no help and of course deflect when brought to their attention. Stay away

The best way to sum up this hotel is ... "It's okay". Recently stayed 2 nights in room 418, it's one of the two bedroom rooms. The carpet looks recently replaced, and everything was more-or-less clean, there were a few issues. Everything in the room looks banged up and aged. The bathroom floor could be cleaner, and the top of the headboards were full of dust. The walls had lots of dirt and other fluid spots on them. There were some interesting uses of caulk around the room, and the cheap cabinet repair above the dishwasher looks shoddy. The beds were mostly fine, and the TVs have built in apps. The internet worked well for us. The shower head had lots of build-up on it, and the brand of bathroom amenities could be better. Outlets on the headboard, but no USB ports. This hotel would be so much nicer with some proper drywall repairs, a fresh coat of paint just about everywhere (don't use flat, use at least eggshell or semi-gloss), and new room furniture. Breakfast is terrible. Too many people all trying to cram in the same tiny area. The first day they kept running out of biscuits for the biscuits and gravy. The second day, they kept running out of pork sausage. If you have other options for breakfast, explore them unless you don't mind them constantly running out of things. It's certainly not a terrible choice, but I just feel like it could be better.

Prior to this visit, I trusted Marriott-branded hotels to be clean. Sadly, this hotel does not even meet that standard. The front desk day staff and the housekeeping manager were helpful and friendly. The hotel is showing its age and there are many small things that could use repair -- chipped tiles, dirty grout, wood peeling off furniture etc. Not great, but somewhat understandable. However, torn sheets, no pillows for the sofa beds, two towels for 4 people and no others available for over an hour, dirt and dead bugs in the kitchen trash pail and carpeting that was filthy and worn are not acceptable. The hotel signs say pool open at 6 am. the website says the pool opens at 9 am. Four children in bathing suits at the pool door -- it doesn't open till 10 am. Why? no lifeguard, no cleaning or activity occurred in the pool area in that hour. The breakfast buffet was ok and fully stocked for the entire time. A main reason I took the time to write this review -- this hotel serves Lackland Air Force Base and new recruits and their families. Our service men and women and their families deserve a clean, comfortable place to stay. Sadly, this hotel fails miserably in so many ways.

The other reviews aren’t exaggerating. I was really surprised because I’ve never seen a Marriott in such bad shape. The staff is considerate and professional, but the room itself it absolutely disgusting. There’s a mildew smell as soon as you walk in. The carpet is so dirty is turns your socks brown. The sheets don’t smell clean. I wiped everything down with Clorox wipes, and they looked like no one cleaned the room at all. I found an old piece of gum on the side table. The room also appeared to have structural issues. Wall and ceiling damage everywhere. Someone else mentioned it felt like a motel, and that’s exactly what it felt like. I’ll never be back. Avoid. Beyond terrible.

Hotel condition was inadequate and my vehicle was broken into during my stay. When I contacted management (Hotel GM Robert Cantu III) about the issue they were complacent and essentially blamed me for the break-in while skirting all responsibility. The room condition was deplorable and almost unlivable. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen and living area. The room was clearly not fully cleaned or prepped for our stay. In both bathrooms I found multiple instances of mold and rust throughout the showers and the ceilings were covered in mildew or mold type substances. In the single bed room the bathroom was in horrible condition. The toilet was filthy and covered in excrement and other fluids and there were used towels and soap left out as well as the body wash dispenser being empty. All of the closet doors barely functioned and appeared to be broken. To use them I had to very carefully lift them and run them along the tracks. There were multiple visible repairs to walls that were poorly covered up and several cracks throughout the corner and ceiling joints. The sofa bed had some sort of residue all over it that made it unusable for fear of contamination and there was no dish soap present to wash the dishes we used during our stay.

Can’t say enough about this hotel. Their focus is on cleanliness and customer satisfaction. From check-in through check-out there was not a thing left to want. The staff is friendly and supportive. Special recognition to Marissa at the front desk. She was always ready with a smile and provided excellent recommendations for food in the area as well as places of interest. She is a great example of a positive representative for this hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean and cared for. (We stayed in a two room suite, 319, and were impressed with the level of detail regarding room quality and presentation). Even during the ongoing Covid concerns, the housekeeping crew went out of their way to ensure any of our needs and requests were met. We were there from March 23rd through the 29th and attended our grandson’s graduation from the Air Force Basic Training. The hotel was very supportive of our Military as well as the recognition of the Air Force Graduates. Also, the daily breakfast was very good and presented with customer safety and cleanliness protection. All in all, we were extremely satisfied with the venue and will definitely return here if in the area again.

The absolute worst Marriott I've ever stayed. Nothing to say that I could say was 3 stars. Perhaps the front desk was 2.5. The breakfast was the pots. Barely warm watery coffee no toast no Bagels no waffles no pancakes no bacon no fresh fruit no coffee available for after hrs. no granola no cereal toppings no silverware, I'm not done but you'll get the picture. If you are going to only serve garbage to the guest like the cheapest sausage crappy and yellow globs and call them eggs 🤢 no room cleaning no fresh towels........ garbage set out in the hall picked up sometimes. Please don't cry covid-19. There isn't a person alive with half a brain that thinks covid can spread easily on surfaces. Discusting
