I have been retired for about 5 years now so I don't travel as much as I used to. I have stayed in Hampton/Hilton properties for decades and have always found I could count on them to be clean, modern, well appointed/supplied, etc but I found my recent stay at the Hampton in San Antonio to be average at best. Not dirty, but not really all that clean either, fixtures and furnishings needed to be refreshed/remodeled. No microfridge in the room and the elevator made a lot of noise going up and down.

I have stayed in this location twice. This is one of my favorite spots to stay when in SA. The hotel is in a good area, feel safe when traveling with my sisters. Night staff Nicole, thank you for going out of your way to make us feel comfortable.
Only draw back is our room was changed from a 2queen bed with sofa bed to an ADA accesible room just because we requested a roll away bed. The room was much smaller, we had to add a second roll away, and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor.
We adjusted but would have been more comfortable in the room we originally requested. Again, Nicole thank you for going above and beyond to accommodate us.

Second time staying there with our pet. First time we stayed all of the staff was extremely friendly. This time did not get a friendly vibe from the staff.

The staff was amazing especially Tatiana she was so helpful and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable as if I was home! 5 stars based on her alone! Hotel room was cleaned daily and room was very clean, common areas were very clean and the store was always stocked with basics. Hotel breakfast was as expected but def didn’t skimp on anything!

Stayed at this hotel for an Unplanned layover in San Antonio. The clerk was very helpful. Got us checked in quickly. The room was clean but could use an update. Not enough plugs for charging phones and tablets (had to move the nightstand to find one). Elevator was quite dirty. To go grab bag breakfast was poor. Bagel was packaged and tasted like cardboard.

The room is quite simple but clean. I love the fact they had extra towels in the restroom, also the full size shampoo, hair conditioner and body lotion is greatly appreciated.
The breakfast was really good and the staff was also very friendly

The area was convenient, however, the room was very dated. There was water damage and black mold around one window and ceiling, there was mold around tub, loose bathroom tile flooring, the walls in the bathroom were dirty, the coffee maker was broken and replaced with a second one missing the filter/pod holder and the carpeting left our feet dirty
