That was a perfect holiday ! Wonderful time at the Sofia Hotel !!!!! Beautiful hotel, beautiful people, beautiful owners, beautiful beach bar, beautiful breakfast ! We come bag that's for sure !!! I had a wonderful, relaxing 2 wk holiday at the Sofia Hotel, after spending two weeks in Italy . I was picked up from the airport by a staff member , and enjoyed the wonderful scenic journey to the other side of the island . Our rooms were clean and very quiet . Breakfast is included in the tariff and was amazing with its variety . All staff were so friendly . Vasilis, Nova. Manoli, Stavro, and Yianni and Sofia went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, and relaxed . Kampos the village has many excellent restaurants , within easy walking distance . The beach opposite the hotel is about 2 km long with heaps of space to relax for the day . The hotel has a large pool with plenty of sun beds . I hope to return in a few years , to stay at this wonderful family run hotel .Greek hospitality at its finest .

My friend and I discovered this beautiful gem of a place 6 years ago as a last minute booking and we have been coming back ever since. A family run hotel where nothing is too much trouble. Wonderful staff and a real feeling of 'belonging'. Go here and you will fall in love with it. Thank you as always to all of you for another perfect holiday.

Thank you Vasilis, Nova, Manoli, Georgina, and the whole team at Hotel Sofia. We came back with a group of 28 to celebrate our wedding, as our previous memories had been so special. We all had a such fantastic time that before we left there was talk of a reunion!! You can’t fault the hospitality, the friendliness, cleanliness, food and quality that the family and team put in to Hotel Sofia. Such a gem! It's a family run facility and their kindness and attention to clients and the hotel is outstanding! Vasilis, Nova, Sofía and their crew are just the most wonderful people! The rooms have balconies, or easy access to the pool, or quiet little porches. The pool is fantastic, clean and surrounded by wonderful trees and plants, (Vasilis takes care of them personally) there's an outdoor oven and chez longues, tables where you can have lunch and a cold beer, and even a pool table by the bar under the gorgeous pagoda. The environment is so pleasing and gorgeous, that we fell in love with this incredible place from the very first moment! It's an oasis on a magical island. There are clients that have been coming here for decades, and that unbeatable publicity. Often times the family organizes barbecues with their guests, and grilling is a Greek national sport Vasilis mastered quite well.

Great holiday - This hotel was recommended and it did not disappoint hotel very friendly atmosphere. breakfast was excellent rooms lovely and clean great pool bar good and staff absolutely lovely. Met some great people. Definitely go back!

If its a relaxing holiday your after this is the place for you. We were recomended this hotel by friends and it did not dissapoint. First class in evey department. Great location, friendly staff and the breakfast superb We will be back...

We stayed at Hotel Sofia for two weeks at the beginning of June and we couldn't have been happier. It was our first time in Samos and we weren't disappointed. For us, it offered everything we were hoping for. A genuine warm and friendly welcome from Vasilli and Manoli. The Hotel is traditional Greek style and our room was plenty big enough with a balcony overlooking the garden at the front. Everywhere spotlessly clean and the breakfast was more than plentiful, providing something for everyone. Thank you Nova, Manoli and Yianni for providing such a bountiful spread every morning! The cleaners, Amanda and her colleague (sorry didn't get her name as she was Greek) were excellent. Amanda making swans, elephants and boats from the fresh towels which we loved, and something we've never encountered before anywhere in Greece. They worked well as a team with towels and bed linen being changed every third day, and they wore masks when cleaning rooms as new guests arrived. Both very hard working ladies, thank you. During the course of our stay we met the whole family, Stavros and Sofia parents of Vasilli and received a warm friendly welcome from everyone. The BBQ they provided was amazing and they all worked very hard to provide a good spread of food. There was an extensive array of books for exchange, and also a Recycling table where you could leave anything you didn't want to take home with you i.e. sun tan lotion, shower gel, beach shoes etc. etc. A fantastic idea and very welcome! We visited other parts of the island, having hired a car for two days and we came to the conclusion that Votsalakia/Marathokampos was the best place, as it is flat. There are Tavernas a plenty and the beach is very close, as are supermarkets, bakery etc. It's wonderful that this village has retained its Greek traditions of hospitality and friendliness and we would highly recommend Hotel Sofia for those who are looking for small and friendly with excellent service.

First time at this hotel. Returned to Samos after 11 yrs and it’s still the same. Very traditional Greek. Great friendly people who cannot do enough for you. Hotel is in a great location. Restaurants supermarket and beach right in n your doorstep. Great friendly staff. Lovely clean rooms. (Just wished I’d packed my hairdryer as not one in the room). One of the best breakfast I’ve had . Thank you Nova.. I will be returning to this hotel and will recommend to family and friends.
