Great: We loved the location, the yummy daily Goan breakfast we couldn't get enough of, the lovely pool, the amazingly friendly service of Anil, and the overall vibe of the 200+ year old heritage property. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Bad: There was some black mould in the bathroom in the shower area. We found a couple of dead cockroaches in the shower area that might have come up the drain. Just ok: We were asked to pick the same breakfast on all days and didn't have the choice to eat different dishes. We understand that this was a sustainable choice, given we were among very few guests at the time. But worth noting, in case you're traveling with people with diverse preferences.

Fabulous. Just fabulous. There are not enough words to describe the hospitality that was extended to us by the team Rosastays. The property is a beautiful bunglow impeccably maintained. Mr Anil, the caretaker left no stone unturned to make our stay a memorable one

Our stay at Rosastay was nothing short of delightful, blending authentic Goan warmth with a relaxed, homely ambiance. Anil’s Exceptional Hospitality: Anil, our host, made us feel completely at home, tending to every detail and ensuring our comfort. His warm and friendly approach created a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for our stay. Guidance from Manager Iyyapan: Iyyapan, the property manager, was incredibly helpful and approachable. He resolved any queries we had and recommended great local spots to explore, making our experience richer. Authentic Goan Cuisine by Chef Ganesh: Chef Ganesh’s culinary talent was a highlight of our trip. He treated us to authentic Goan dishes like xacuti, vindaloo, patal bhaji, rose omelette, and fresh poi. Each meal showcased his skill and passion, giving us a true taste of Goa. The Beauty of Bungalow: The bungalow itself is beautifully maintained, surrounded by lush greenery with a serene pool and spacious rooms. It’s a peaceful retreat. A True Goan Experience: For anyone seeking a homely stay that immerses you in Goan culture, Rosastay Bara Bungalow is ideal. With warm hospitality, local cuisine, and a scenic setting, it’s a perfect blend of comfort and authenticity.

We had a lovely and personalized experience at Rosastays. We booked a heritage room, so in the 230-year old restored house. The decorations and furniture were all in keeping with the long traditions of Portuguese-Goan style. Beautiful. Beyond our room, we had the run of the property. We could have eaten meals in the beautiful dining room, but we preferred the terrace overlooking the pool, gardens and Goan landscape. Chef Ganesh took excellent care of us, with amazing Goan breakfasts and a special dinner where we asked him to prepare his favorite Goan dishes. He did a wonderful job. One day we were hoping for dosas for breakfast, and sadly Chef Ganesh felt he could not do them justice. We were happy to have a substitute, but Rosastays' manager Ayyappan came to the rescue and cooked them himself. Another home room. If we'd stayed much longer, we would have had to roll ourselves home, with happy bellies getting rounder each day. Anil is the front-of-house star. He was magically there, ready to assist, whenever a thought popped into our heads. He has more talents than we were able to make use of, as we only wanted a simple stay, doing as little as possible. He made that easy for us, and clearly has resources to assist travelers who want to engage in more activities, from cooking lessons to walking tours to boat excursions.

Excellent location, old world charm, quite a character of this place, the interiors has that premiumness to it. The Food, the variety, the personal touch from Anil and the entire staff, the intent to go a step further to make you comfortable and at home! The infinity swimming pool, the calm vibe, the space. I would rate it a perfect 10. For people who like character and has a regal taste, they would certainly appreciate this villa - modern yet that old world rustic charm.

Excellent property for a group trip. Clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Lots of spaces to relax indoors and outdoors. Decent size pool, and good food. Fantastic service from their polite staff. Would highly recommend, absolutely worth the money.
