Ponce de Leon Hotel

Terrible, elevators and hallways smell so bad, furniture and decoration is very outdated. Terrible experience. I couldn’t even stay the night, I checked out after 1 hour. Definitely over price.

It was perfect little spot fora 1 night trip.

I absolutely loved it, but, its definitely not for those who want the fancy bells and whistles. If you appreciate history,and architecture, this beautiful boutique hotel is for you!

The toilets don't flush right amd backing up must be a common occurrence because the bathroom has a plunger in it (first time I ever saw that in a hotel). There is an old moldy smell in my room and throughout the hotel. It's THE HARDEST bed I have ever slept on ( my back was killing me after the second night) There are no amenities, and don't expect much help from the staff..... I had to wait about 30minutes at the front desk for help once and if u can't speak Spanish you won't get very far with help anyways so don't even try. Elevator lights were broke so you had to wait for the door to open to check the number in the hall to figure out what floor you were on. Room looked clean except for the fridge had other people's things in it..... I couldn't bring myself to trust it was scrubbed good at all. And if u an artist and into design, be prepared for odd colors that don't match well.... it's an awkward display of completely random colors all over the place.....the bath tiles didn't even match at all....just odd. If u like very old historical things this could be for u but I prefer up to date, functional and modern things so this is an experience I will never return to. And if you like the quiet, it's not available here..... you will hear car horns, loud music amd loud people ALL NIGHT LONG.

Many times before coming in for a quick trip. The hotel is old, but has great amenities and is centrally located. Staff is super friendly.

Very lovely old world charm ,very courteous staff and management. I would definitely stay there again.

Greeted by friendly staff. Easiest check-in and check-out. Got an excellent taxi recommendation. Location is the best feature. Walking distance to parks, the waterfront-we saw dolphins swimming, so much nightlife. Saturday farmer's market is across the street. Two free downtown shuttles will take you to different downtown neighborhoods. We rode it to Tropicana Field. If you need a gym, business center, large updated rooms; you won't find it here. If you want a room to put your belongings while you are out and a place to sleep, this is a good choice.

Pros: We liked the historic vibe and the blend of modern and cheerful classic Latino flair in the decor. Adequate hot water, coffeemaker, and mini fridge, lots of storage space. Relatively quiet in the halls. Nice pillows, soft blankets, and the bed was OK. Cons: Loud AC unit, gap in the wall that let in air and noise from outside, little counter space at sink, funky smell in the hallway outside our room. Overall a decent place to stay if you want a building with some character.

The location of the property was very convenient. Is downtown so you will have a lot of options for dinning and hang out. Property itself was not that bad. We knew it was an old building so we weren’t expecting modern or fancy.
