Chateau de Courtebotte

Fabulous location, easy to access and lots of parking. Stayed in a standard room that felt a little bland. However, we welcomed the AC and the bathroom/shower was great. Our room was large with a seating area and good views.... Just lacked something. The hotel has 2 pools and one is adult only, so very quiet with excellent views over the grounds and surrounding area. Breakfast was a highlight, lots to choose from, great coffee available to take inside the chateau or on the balcony. We didn't eat in the restaurant but enjoy drinks in the bar in the evenings. A car is essential as there isn't anywhere within walking distance for dinner etc. Overall, a lovely hotel that we enjoyed but it just doesn't hit the spot for top marks from me. Some small things would make all the difference including more information on check in, information in the room about the local area, and more attention to decor in the room.

The chateau was beautiful, the grounds charming, the pool clean and inviting. The treehouse was romantic and unique. Service and staff excellent.

We loved our stay! Everything was perfect. Our room was great. Stunning bathroom with jacuzzi tub and shower. Fantastic breakfasts. The fact there are 2 pools is wonderful so that the children aren’t bothered by the adults and visa versa. The restaurants were terrific all around the area. Our one dinner here was just ok, but it might have just been an off nite as they were always busy. Very quiet and relaxing. We will be back

This place ticks all the boxes for a relaxing family holiday. A beautiful venue and backdrop, it oozes a sense of luxury without being over the top. We stayed in the larger gite, than the main building with plenty of space to relax and unwind. There is a gastronomic restaurant onsite and a well stocked bar. Should you wish, bakeries and supermarkets are also a short drive away. With many activities nearby (eg kayaking on the Dordogne or hot air balloon rides), there is still plenty onsite like ping pong or board games. There are cycling and waking routes from the venue too. It is an excellent location from which to visit many beautiful towns and chateaus. What really makes this place special are the staff, who are constantly running around to make every guest feel looked after, merci!

This place is stunning! With views of the Dordogne river this really is a beautiful place to stay. Our room, La Terrace was wonderfully furnished, finished & very clean. Breakfast was basically all home made by the very Accommodating host, the gardens and walks were great and the swimming pool just finished it all off perfectly. We had 2 nights here but wanted to stay much longer. Very close to St Emilion and easy reach of restaurants, towns etc Well worth a visit.

During our stay at Château de Courtebotte, we opted for the Treehouse. The room had lovely views over the river and the gardens of the Château. The manager was outstanding and super accomodating. She offered us some fresh fruits from the gardens and went out of her way to ensure we had a lovely stay.

My second stay here. The owner is different from the first time, but the site and amenities are just as wonderful. Right on the Dordogne River with lovely views from everywhere. We stayed in The Tree House which has a lot of steps to it, but the spectacular view was well worth it.

Everything about our stay here was simply fabulous! Prior to the stay, communication was brilliant with tips and advice on where to book restaurants etc. Our welcome from Ayse, with a lovely glass of local wine, was friendly and made us feel at home straight away. I cannot speak highly enough of our room (we were in the Patio Suite), and my parents room (the O Suite). Everything was sparkling clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable with extra bedding/pillows/blankets available as required. The bathtub in the Patio Suite was so lovely I felt like a princess when bathing! We were there to celebrate my mums 75th birthday and Ayse went above and beyond for us, providing a private area and great food for a breakfast celebration. Breakfast on other mornings was just as lovely. Note, there is an extra fee for this, but is well worth it :) The hotel grounds are lovely and well maintained and the pool is a great area with heated water to enjoy a swim. Parking is easy and near the accommodation. Ayse is the most perfect hostess; she was welcoming, friendly and super helpful with her suggestions and even called to make reservations at restaurants and a local wine tour for us. I/We HIGHLY recommend you take some time to spend a few nights in this wonderful place :)
