On the deck is a 2-burner Weber grill for guest use year-round.

There is a very friendly longtime tenant who lives above The Downtown Den, and you will hear him coming and going at times. The apartment is about 1,100 square feet total. The living room has a heat pump for AC, and each bedroom has window AC units during the summer. The apartment has baseboard heating controlled by a thermostat. There is parking for 4 vehicles in the driveway, as well as free street parking available. You’ll receive a code for the smart lock for secure and easy entrance into the home.
Please note there is a large run down Victorian home right next door that is owned by the City of Biddeford. It can cause a minor unsightly view once you're first getting to the property. The city is scheduled to start renovating the building in the summer of 2025 and we can't wait to see it restored to its original beauty!

The home’s light-filled main level features an open-concept gourmet kitchen, with ample seating throughout the kitchen, dining, and living spaces, where you can enjoy epic sunsets and a cozy wood-burning stove.
Step from there into the first master bedroom, which includes a king bed with river view, en-suite bath with double vanity, spa shower and walk-in closet. On the wooded side of the home, you will discover a secluded and serene three-season porch.

Top quality linens, Sterns & Foster mattresses, bath towels, beach towels, dishware, cookware, lobster pot, appliances, cleaning supplies, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided, as well as beach chairs, umbrellas, wagon, cooler, firewood, binoculars, and more. Our goal is to provide everything you'll need for a wonderful vacation in Maine.
There is parking for 3 cars. 4 cars may be allowed with permission from the owner.
Please note that Nathan, the property manager (and brother of the owner), lives in the apartment above the separate garage. You may see him occasionally doing maintenance, but his goal is to be non-intrusive. This bright coastal beach house steps from the Boardwalk to 7 miles of sandy beach offers rooms full of natural light, a modern coastal kitchen, a spacious living room, an intimate screened-in porch, and a lush grassy yard! The color tones used throughout the home invite the feeling of a classic coastal retreat with subtle nautical influences. A boardwalk to the beach is located just steps away from the home.
The home features 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, and a hot/cold outdoor shower. There is 1 king bed, 2 twin beds, and a queen sleeper sofa in the home. This cozy beach cottage has a maximum occupancy of 5 guests (including children of all ages). There is a hair dryer in the bathroom.
The modern coastal kitchen features white shaker dovetail cabinets and white quartz countertops. The bright, modern kitchen is thoughtfully designed to make the most of the space and is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, and ice maker. The kitchen features an eat-in dining table with seating for up to 4.
The living room is bright and airy and includes a 55” smart TV, a chair, and a sectional sofa. The house also boasts an indoor screened-in porch with partial ocean views and additional dining and seating space, perfect for reading or relaxing and enjoying the sounds of the ocean after a long day at the beach.
The home features high ceilings, hardwood flooring, and tile flooring. The living room and bedrooms have original hardwood floors that have been refinished, and the kitchen and bathroom have new tile flooring.
Two mini-split air conditioning units are located in the home, one in each bedroom, along with ceiling fans in each bedroom to help keep the space cool on warmer days.
There is driveway parking for 2 cars, a 55” smart TV with cable and streaming, Wi-Fi, a Weber gas grill, and an outdoor table with seating for 4. The home has a large grassy yard, and a cornhole set (bags & boards) is provided. The washer and dryer are located in the kitchen.
A neighborhood boardwalk to the beach is located just steps away at the corner of Outlook Avenue and Oceanside Drive.
A dedicated desk and workspace are being added to support remote work and extended stays.

A fresh sponge, a dish towel, hand soap, and laundry detergent are all provided as well. Beach Chairs and select beach accessories are provided for use during your stay including: 5 Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs, a beach cart /wagon, and children’s beach toys for building sandcastles. A pack and play & a high chair are available as well upon request. Guests may opt for the Linen/Towel Package if they wish for linens and towels to be provided.

Off of the kitchen is the full bathroom.
This home is on one level with five stairs to enter and a single step up to the primary bedroom. It is not accessible for guests who use a wheelchair, walker, cane, or need walking assistance due to the stairs.

The Linen/Towel Package is $150 and includes everything you will need throughout your stay including: bed sheets for every bed, 5 bath towels, 5 washcloths, 5 beach towels, 2 hand towels, and 1 bath mat. Linen/Towel Package Fee can be added to your booking. Answering a commonly asked question: Guests do not need to wash the Linen & Towel Package upon departure.
