Arcadia Lodge Russell

We visited Russell for the first time, and we stayed at Arcadia Lodge. What a Jewel in the crown. Greg and Peter welcomed us into their beautiful home as if we were family. The house and location are fantastic. The view is stunning. Nothing is too much trouble, and Peter and Greg booked us into excellent restaurants and provided us with useful information on where to visit. Breakfast was on the terrace and was without a doubt the best we have had on this trip. Fabulous homemade and beautifully prepared fruits and cereal. In addition Peter prepared amazing scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and capers on sour dough bread and fritters. Toast and banana cake. I will be trying some of his recipes when I get home. I am coeliac and Peter provided me with similar to everyone else without wheat, and it was obvious the effort he went to to do this and ensure everything was wheat free. Absolutely outstanding.

You simply have to stay here , spectacular location , beautiful views of the bay from the balcony . The lodge is exquisitely furnished and the breakfasts divine . Greg and Peter , you are the perfect hosts . A real pleasure to meet you both and hope to return again very soon . Xx

What a find! From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the whole experience. The Lodge is just beautiful and we felt like we were staying with dear friends. Greg and Peter were so attentive, kind and nothing was too much trouble. They made fantastic recommendations for where to eat and Peter created the most beautiful breakfasts I have ever seen. Greg met us when we arrived and put us totally at ease and was hilarious! The Lodge is in a great position and there's a lovely walk into Russell. The house was beautifully decorated and there was the most soothing music playing occasionally downstairs. Loved that it was a bit quirky!! Most of all, loved those guys. Will never forget our stay with them. It's the best!
