Went for an evening meal the staff were very friendly but we were disappointed with the way they were dressed, what the owner was wearing was an old faded tee shirt and jeans, he would have looked more at home doing the garden rather than serving in a restaurant. The food was mediocre and all in all including the drinks we thought it was all very overpriced.

The restaurant was so busy actually too busy as the wait for drinks and food was far too long. The chicken pie was cold and bland. The other dishes were not so good. We never send back or complain as iv worked in this industry !!! In July 2024, it is compulsory management MUST give the staff all of the tips. As it stands at this place, the staff get nothing ... just minimum wage !

Tonight we had the best evening. Food was five star, the service was amazing (thank you to our waitress Jas), cocktails were flowing and the DJ was brilliant. Thank you for a fabulous start to 2024. Will definitely be back soon.

long lost family reunion, booked in for nineteen people to eat, lots of different options were ordered, all the meals were eaten and enjoyed ,the staff were very polite and friendly, nobody rushed us we dined at our leisure will definitely be going back a big thank you to all staff who served us .

This was an impromptu visit and I can honestly say what a great choice ! My mom and I went for lunch and we’re not disappointed. Right from the moment we walked in we were greeted by the staff who were friendly and welcoming. The menu had such variety, and an array of foods with an Asian theme it would have been easy to have tried all of them !! We shared the nachos to start and when I say they were delicious wow ! Either I need to get out more or I need to stop eating Doritos these were homemade and delicious! The mains were also perfection. We could not fault this place an absolute gem spotlessly clean….excellent service thank you to Kane his front of house skills a real natural. Would we go back absolutely no hesitation in fact looking forward to taking the rest of the family at some point.

Chose this restaurant as its just off the M1 and we were coming south to meet some friends from London. Attracted by interesting and quirky menu. So thrilled we found this gem. Quaint old pub with lovely restaurant. One of the best meals we've had for a long time. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Plentiful food choices with Asian fusion vibe. Had Lebanese sharing platter and Asian street food tapas to start. Exceptional tastes. Salads and burgers to follow. Best duck salad I've ever had. Burgers were top quality. Would definitely recommend - its just a shame we live so far away but will certainly visit again.

Went to The George for Sunday lunch today after being recommended by a family friend and wasn't disappointed. Sunday roast beef was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very welcoming. We will definitely be returning again when we are in the area and have even said we will travel the 40 mins drive to have this meal again.

Recently re-opend, really laid out well, relaxing atmosphere, service is very good, food is excellent, all staff are really helpful (especially Cane). Would definately recommend a visit, for us it is a two mile walk but then drink and relax.

1st time visiting the George . Fantastic service , wonderful food and a great selection . Staters were fantastic with the mains just spot on . The food was spiced just right with a hint of Indian which lifted the taste . Made to feel welcome and the waiting staff were very attentive and the manager greeted us and explained all about the meal and what would happen . Will definitely be back
