It was amazing starting of the year. Romantic Rothenburg ob der Tauber and fairytale beautiful ancient hotel with perfect restaurants. The best steak we ever eat! Owners were extremely helpful! Great spa, clean. We will definitely return. Highly recommended! The best place in Rothenburg!

I arrived at this hotel at around 11 am. Immediately the front desk woman told me I was earlier and the check in was at the universal hour of 3 pm. I never heard that was a universal hour, because most hotels allow you to check in at 2 pm. I had prepaid for parking as well but she told me the parking was not available until 3 pm either so she told me to go find a public parking lot on the outskirts of town. Just as I was leaving I guess she felt bad and told me she will call her colleague and tell me to guide me to the parking garage. When I got there, it was empty and there was space for two cars. I came back around 1: 45 pm just in case the room was ready but it was not, she told me I had to wait until three pm. She gave us a boucher for a drink at the restaurant. We went to the restaurant and a young waiter asked if we want to eat, we said no just a drink. He gave us a table and we ordered two beers. Five minutes later an older waiter came and asked if we wanted the menu, we explained we were only there for drinks and he immediately got very upset and said we can not seat there if we are not eating. At this point I was irritated as well and told him we asked one of the waiters before we sat down and he gave us the table so we were not leaving. I told him we were guests of the hotel and still he was upset and said we should not be there. We ignored him and finished our drink. At 3 pm we got our room, which was ok, nothing fantastic but ok. We pay extra for a suite and it was large and comfortable. After the nasty waiter experience we decided not to have dinner at the hotel and we went to eat at another nice place nearby. At breakfast the following morning when my partner went to pick up food from the buffet, the same woman who was at the front desk the day before was yelling at him in German. When I asked what happened my partner said she thought he was just taking food without having a table yet. The people at this hotel need a course in how to treat customers. They are very very rude and have no manners. They feel like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to stay there or to eat there. Customer service does not exists here. I will not recommend this place. There are lots of hotel choices in town, so stay some place were people are friendly and actually make you feel welcomed.

My wife and I stayed three nights at the Reichskuchenmeister Hotel in Rothenburg enjoying a quiet central location, an excellent restaurant, a wonderful relaxation room and sauna and most importantly the warm and professional welcome from all the staff

Toller Spa Bereich, super Frühstück, eigener Parkplatz, "positiv-altmodische" Zimmer: wirklich richtig schön. Werde ich garantiert wieder buchen, wenn ich in der Stadt bin. An die Bewertung Tripadvisor: nervt bitte nicht mit den verpflichtenden 200 Zeichen.
