Protur Roquetas Hotel & Spa

Couldn’t fault this hotel!! First of all we had a 6 hour delay, on arrival at the hotel, the reception staff were efficient at checking everyone in, the restaurant opened earlier to accommodate hungry and tired passengers and the bar offered drinks whilst we were waiting in the queue to check in. All the staff were friendly, courteous and worked very hard. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Staff are always cleaning! Pool area is great, lots of space and available sunbeds. The pool is a bit on the cold side - but fine once you are in- the lazy river is warmer. Loved the serve yourself set up around the pool bar- beer, sangria, hot drinks, sodas, fruit juices, water and ice creams. All Other drinks available from the bar. We had good experiences of the Asian and Italian restaurants. The main buffet was good too, never busy or crowded. The pool bar also did a buffet lunch and there are snacks available after lunch - breads, fruits, meats, cheeses and desserts. Beach is great - some days the sea was a bit rough. Lovely promenade to walk down or you can hire bikes. If you have preteen / teenagers there is a great shop - Ale Hop shop- about a 10 minutes walk if you turn left on the promenade Mini fridge in the room - was restocked daily with soft drinks and water - included. Spa, pharmacy and other shops across the road from the hotel. All in all a great family all inclusive hotel - no complaints here!!

Great hotel! This was our second visit, first time in 2017 as a family of 3 and we enjoyed it so much then we came back with our extended family for our second vist. The whole hotel and grounds are very clean and well kept. The staff are excellent, very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We were a group of 14 and the restaurant staff were excellent, particularly Ossie and Manuel. All the team were always happy to move tables around to accommodate such a large group. We were very happy with the food in the main restaurant and pool bar, although some of our party were disappointed with the a la carte restaurants. Avi, from the entertainment team deserves a mention as she was tireless in getting us involved and she was great fun. The evening entertainment needs updating! But, this didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves. Great hotel, great holiday!

Came here after being reccomended by our tour rep. Lovely hotel. Fabtastic staff and beautiful surroundings. Spotlessly clean. Fab family facilities. Bars open all day till midnight. Food is of a decent standard all inclusive buffet style. The two speciality restaurants are both good. The staff Manila, Marina and Javier are all fabulous too. Highly recommend their skills and kindness. Would definitely come back and bring the family. Ideal for all ages and wheelchair friendly including the lazy river swim around pool. Visited in the Spanish school break so it was very busy but not over crowded. Lovely break away and relaxing.

Hotel is clean and beautiful grounds food is good if you like porkand if you stay for longer than a week is a bit repetitive it wouldn’t normally bother me and my family as we like to eat out of an evening but the resort is a ghost town with a hand full of bars an restaurants so tui made out it was a lovely resort for family’s with lots of bars and restaurants there is nothing around apart from caster park and the little arcade a fue doors down there is nothing for the kids to do other than swim in the lovely pools that are cold we had a baby who had just turned one an couldn’t spend much time in the pool as it was just too cold for him. A tip is dunk ur self in the bigger pool first then go in the lazy river it seems warm after the cold water shock from the bigger pools. The kids club was a shambles I took my little lad over he’s 4 a fue times the woman was doing everything in Spanish and seemed to just involve the Spanish kids. But avi from the entertainment team was brilliant with the shooting and archery so funny and lovely always smiling I think she should run the kids club as the woman who does it most days looks Miserable. The rooms for family’s are a little small in my opinion we traveld with two other couples who didn’t have children and both there rooms were a lot wider and a little bigger witch doesn’t make sense surly the more wider rooms should be given to family so they have more space the fridge is stocked up every day with bottles of coke sprite and water really nice touch. The beach was shale sharp and the water drops off after a fue steps wish I would of new that before we booked too as was no good for the kids The staff at the hotel restaurant where absolutely lovely so good with the kids We took a taxi to the castle near the harbour in Roquetas de mar but wouldn’t waste your time filthy place with a very small section on the board outside in English to tell you about the castle all the local Scallys hang round there we went over there in the hope of finding some restaurants but once again most where shut down Entertainment at night was not very great except the magic show my little boy loved it We won’t be returning due to resort being to quiet and everything shut if you could pick this hotel up an put it some where with a bit more life it would of been amazing but hotel lovely and staff can’t do enough for you just a shame tui couldn't write a better description on there website of the surrounding area
