Let me just preface this review by saying that this was my third time in Rome, so I was familiar enough with what to expect quality-wise from Hotels, especially around the Termini area, which is generally "not advised". We booked our trip on very short notice, within 2 weeks of staying in the middle of May, so it was very much a last minute, out of options decision. Locating the hotel itself is unusual. Firstly, you have to take a 'public' elevator to the 5th floor, the building itself houses multiple hotels and apartments on each floor, and so you have to press a buzzer to be let in for the first time. We were very pleasantly surprised at how tidy and neat it all was upon arriving. For only being a 2-star hotel, we weren't expecting a whole lot, but our room was big, it was cleaned daily, the bed was comfortable and the towels for showering were also replaced daily. It was on-par with some of the 4-Star hotels I've stayed in (With exception to a few things, such as the public elevator, etc) - Air conditioning was provided upon request, which we didn't know until our second last day (Just given a remote control from the receptionist desk) Overall, I could honestly recommend Hotel Planet to anybody staying in Rome. It's affordable, clean, cheap, and in a good location (Right next toTermini - for stores, pharmacy, Starbucks, etc) We really had no complaints at all from our time here, one thing I will say though is that some of the review photos on Trip Advisor seem to be old and out-dated. But the entire hotel seems to have gotten a massive facelift, and so the photos on Trip Advisor aren't here to deceive you at all, which was a concern of ours, that is really the hotel. Overall I give it 4/5 stars!
