Our favorite stay in Italy! Andrea was so welcoming and helpful. I truly can’t say enough things about how amazing he was. He helped us navigate the maps and educated us on everything we needed to know. The hotel communicates with you through what’s app when you have questions too and even booked us transportation to the train station. They were so kind and helpful and we really enjoyed our cozy room.

I can not say enough positive things about this property. The location is great. Not as close to some of the main tourist attractions as other hotels (which we liked since it was our second stay in Rome) but still very convenient if you want to see them. You can easily walk to many restaurants and shops. It also has a taxi line close and the metro is right outside of the building. The decor and extra attention to details are remarkable. The owner was wonderful and you get breakfast delivered to your room. If we make it back to Rome I will try to book with Casa Montani.

This is the third time we have visited Rome and twice before we have stayed in five star hotels close to the Spanish steps. I almost rebooked a hotel we had stayed in before but then came across Casa Montani and just loved the look of it. It was also a quarter of the cost. We were travelling as a couple, with our daughter and her cousin so had two separate rooms. Both rooms were wonderful. Not very big but tastefully decorated, they had everything we needed and most importantly for me; a very comfortable bed, excellent pillows and quality linen. All four of us slept amazingly well and I don’t normally when I stay away from home. The shower was great and the luxury toiletries were a lovely surprise. The rooms were also spotlessly clean and maintained to that standard throughout our stay. Breakfast was fantastic. We throughly enjoyed having it wheeled into the room and eating it in bed every morning instead of having to trail down to a restaurant. This is the part I wasn’t sure about and it ended up being our favourite bit! We have just got home and I will definitely miss this in the morning! Ha ha. Coffee was fantastic and fresh, lovely seasonal fruit and flaky, buttery croissants etc. All the staff were fantastic, helpful and professional. The building is fantastic and the location is perfect. Local transport is literally on the doorstep and you are over the road from Piazza Del Popolo and then into the rest of the attractions after a lovely walk. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough and can’t understand why it’s only 3 stars when it is so much better than the two 5 star hotels we stayed in previously. I just wish we’d have booked early enough to try the suite. Definitely next time. Thanks for an amazing experience xx

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to friends and family. Great location. Accommodations were great. Andrea was super helpful, even going out of his way to retrieve sunglasses we realized we had left behind at a nearby restaurant. A lovely breakfast. Was a terrific start to our trip in Italy.

Excellent location. Really easy to find your way back to the hotel. Situated at the oldest gates of Rome we had one of the best meals heading away from the tourist attraction. We saw everything as our first night in Rome we stayed up the other end. Quick trip in Rome was able to do everything in 2 days. Staff and breakfast was great. Old lift is interesting as well as the entry with key from phone.l which I have not experienced before.

2nd time at the lovely guest house. It is run by the very stylishly-dressed Giuseppe, he is very welcoming and helpful, this is how hospitality should be! The guest house is in a grand 1920's building with high ceiling, only 3 mins walk from the metro and 5 mins from Via del Corso, 10 mins from Spanish Steps. We stayed in the junior suite, they have 2 floors of the guest house, this time we were on the second floor, they also have a third floor. It's all very stylishly done, luxurious yet homely and non-pretentious. Our suite has a separate sitting area, we chose the suite facing the side street which was lovely in the morning when you can open the window and experience all the street action. You might hear some traffic if you have a city view room but not noisy, all windows are double-glazed. The room is spotlessly clean, there is an empty fridge which is much better coz you can just stock your own preferred drinks. They wheeled the breakfast trolley to your room when you called, it is simple, no cooked food but bakery stuff, yogurt, fresh fruits etc and, lovely coffee. The house-keeping team are great, 5-star to them.

We were so happy we chose Casa Montani. The rooms were lovely, very clean and in a charming old building. The location could not have been better with everything in walking distance. The hosts were so helpful and gave us great advice and organised a car and driver for us at very short notice to see Rome in the very hot Roman summer. The breakfast was perfect and coffee excellent. Highly recommend this little place.

The hosts are helpful and gracious. The rooms are really nice. The key system, where you use your phone to open a series of doors, is super fiddly, really a hassle. My phone died one day, and that meant trouble getting into my room. They should get rid of this system. I also didn't love getting a series of panicky emails the day before I arrived, telling me I had to check in RIGHT NOW, which involved downloading passport pictures and pictures of myself with the passport. Again, hassles I don't want when I am traveling. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, although the woman who delivered it was lovely.
