Sant'Ivo Apartments

This place is the best for location, we hadn’t been to Rome before so we feel like we got really lucky first time round! It is literally around the corner from the pantheon, and we walked easily to Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and Vatican. The coffee shop round the corner is an absolute must! The apartment itself was smaller than some of the ones we saw on photos but that was our misunderstanding of what we had booked and it was still a perfectly good size, clean and the owners brought us a bottle of Prosecco as we mentioned it was our honeymoon which was a lovely touch. The roof terrace is lovely and so nice as a break from the crowds. Something that took us for surprise was the teeny tiny lift! But it worked perfectly fine.

The apartments are located very conveniently close to many of Rome’s historical attractions, great restaurants, several supermarkets, and great shopping. Our apartment was clean, spacious, nicely appointed, and wonderfully charming with an elegant Roman feel. We made use of the kitchenette and washing machine. These were nice touches to have that made life as a tourist much easier. It was nice to be able to prepare a cup of coffee, make a snack, or have a cold glass of Frascati. It was especially nice to be able to do a load of laundry without having to locate a laundromat. Most stunning was the rooftop terrace. During the day it was beautiful to see the panorama of clay roof tiles on all of the neighboring buildings, monuments, churches, etc. At night, the lights of Rome made it magical.

Everytime I go to Rome, I stay at Sant'Ivo apartments. I believe one's experience in this city can be highly influenced by the apartment you stay in and its location, and Sant'Ivo is a 5/5 in both of them. The facilities are those of a typical Roman home but right in the heart of the city, between Pantheon and Piazza Navona, the best area of all. Not only in terms of security and closeness to the main attractions (all of them are a 10-15 minute walk, we never had to take a bus or a taxi), but also in terms of food. The best restaurants are at the door of Sant'Ivo. Last but not least, the staff is extremely friendly and thoughtful, and will attend your demands as soon as they can. There's nothing more you can ask for.

Perfect location- 5 mins walk from the Pantheon with easy access to all of the main sites. Apartment clean and comfortable with a fabulous rooftop terrace. Lots of stairs to climb as our apt was on 3 rd floor ( there is a lift if required). Hosts were very helpful. We will definitely return to these apartments in future and highly recommend.

Esperienza terribile, ascensore tipo loculo. Scale fatte a piedi. Appartamento ancora peggio, mobili vecchi, bagno entri in avanti ed esci indietro. Notte insonne, letto terribile.Dovevo restare due notti, ma sono andata via il giorno dopo, stavo malissimo x non avere dormito. Pagato in anticipo e quindi nessun rimborso.

Coppia con neonata (specificato nella prenotazione), struttura assolutamente inadatta. La vendono come struttura con ascensore ma si tratta di un montacarichi ricavato tra le scale dove non entra il passeggino, a stento due valigie. Immaginate con due piani di scale alte (palazzo storico) e impossibilità di usare l’ascensore. Io in braccio con mia figlia ci andavo stretta da sola dentro (e sono una taglia 38!). Appartamento della nonna da cui hanno ricavato degli alloggi per turisti. Bagno privo di appendini, cuscini che puzzano di vecchio e stantio (al netto della federa pulita, l’imbottitura avrà 70 anni). L’appartamento ha un ingresso comune con altri alloggi, un continuo di sbatti e via vai della porta. Ingresso non agile, impossibile fermarsi a scaricare dal taxi. Insomma per me bocciato!
