We stayed here as a group of 46 guest as we were all staying for my sisters wedding. The hotel entrance is grand and beautiful, the rooms are tired but comfortable. We had a junior suite, with 3 balconies unfortunately none big enough for a table and chairs. One of the balcony doors didn’t lock and I notified reception and they rectified the issue. We paid £830 for the room for the week which in reference to the facilities offered is very expensive. Also on day 5 of 7 we came down to the pool being closed due to no lifeguard, this was not communicated to us upon check in and as we have children travelling with us, we would not have booked if we knew the pool was closed. Unfortunately reception manager was rude and unwilling to resolve this issue and no apology for not telling us that the pool was closed. When I travel to the area again, I will not be giving the hotel my money, I will stay at a villa with a pool for a fraction of the price. Very disappointed!

I booked the holiday via Thomas Cook travel and we were looking forward to a nice relaxing break based on the information on the Thomas Cook website and the La Laguna Hotel website. What I was expecting as per the information supplied and what we experienced fell far below the standard of a 4 Star Superior Spa Hotel from the descriptions advertised. Once in our room we were not impressed as the room looked out on a raised covering that had limited view. The room was in need of updating and looked to be the same décor since the hotel was built. The bathroom had a bath with a shower hose that did not look safe to be standing in. I went to reception and asked to be moved and was told the hotel was nearly full and all the rooms were the same. I was offered a Junior suite for an additional charge. I was happy to pay for an upgrade and I asked to see the Junior suite hoping it would be a vast improvement but it had the same outdated decor and bathroom. I declined this as it was not worth any additional cost and settled for another double room on the 2nd floor. This was not any better. The door was falling off the cupboard where the fridge was enclosed. The beds were uncomfortable and well used. There were some loose floor tiles in the room when walking. The air conditioning, even when it was turned off at night still, had noise coming from the ducting in the ceiling. The morning after arrival I went to use the "Gym". This looked like a converted bedroom with very little machines to exercise with. No exercise mats were available to put on the floor. Air Conditioning did not work. The TV did not work as no remote control. There was a toilet shower room in the gym but it did not have any towels or soap and the shower area had never been completed. Some of the gym equipment was not safe to use. When I spoke with reception, they advised I let them know in advance before using the gym so the air-con could be turned on. On my next visit to I informed the reception to turn on the air-con but after 20 minutes nothing was done and it was impossible to use because of the high temperature. At 9.30am the same morning we went to the Hotel restaurant for breakfast and joined a queue waiting for available tables. The restaurant was very busy and had only two waitresses working. I noticed queues waiting at the coffee machine and at various areas of the buffet bar. It was chaos with no organisation from the staff. We finally got a table after 15 minutes and then queued again and had long waits for fruit, cereals and hot buffet items to be replaced. The 'hot buffet' food was never hot! This breakfast service did not improve as the week went by. One of the coffee machines was out of service the following day and was still out of service for the remainder of the week. This hotel is lovely. Staff were incredibly helpful, rooms were clean and great quality. The pool was perfect and we loved relaxing by the pool bar. It is easy enough to get a taxi to Torrevieja or there are a couple of bars and a fantastic pizzeria next to the hotel. We hosted a party in their function room to the side of the hotel and it was amazing. Such a beautiful room and the staff, food and drinks were fantastic. Thanks La Laguna :)

Impressive but lacked things. No free toiletries in the room, air conditioning was poor, breakfast was very expensive but had free secure car parking . Balcony didn’t have any chairs to sit on. Kettle in the room but no coffee or milk. Compared to our hotel the day prior it was expensive and only half the benefits.

I went to the hotel with 3 friends for a relaxing time 5 days after a family breavment. The staff were rude and ignored us. We booked a spa day, paid and no staff member demonstrated how the spa worked, just left, when a spainish couple arrived they were shown around. This was my 62 q year old first time ever on hoilday and l wanted it to be special. We ordered food at the bestro in the hotel and l was abruptly told that they do not have blackcurrant juice in Spain by the waiter. On the 5 day trip there were 2 weddings and the wedding party's had to pass by us to get married we were at the in our swim suits,one was on a friday at 5pm the other staturday at 4pm it was very occured we had to leave both days. The litalin restaurant adjacent to the hotel threw our menus to us. The worst experience was when l went for a walk on my own the flowers were getting dropped at the hotel and the younge girl driving the car into the car park was screaming at the top of lungs in Spainish as she entered the hotel car park. Glad to be home in Scotland.

I stay here 3-4 times a year to visit family. It’s the best hotel in the area, but it’s a little tired, especially in the rooms. I was chastised for slipping my shoes off in the bar area (under a coffee table) even though another customer had a 30 min call with his girlfriend on speaker phone. Go figure! It’s trying to be ‘posh’ but missing the basics. Staff are clearly following orders but not using common sense. It’s ok - nothing more

Stayed for a few days in August 24 on a family holiday. Lovely few days. The location is quiet with a couple of restaurants/bars nearby. But you do need a car. The town of quesida with its many restaurants/bars is 2 miles away. The biggest positive is the friendliness of staff and a lovely pool area. The hotel is small with 70 rooms but we enjoyed this fact. We stayed in a junior suite which was very spacious but the reviews about the rooms being basic and in need of a refresh is true, it’s defo 3 star standards. The breakfast was fine, cereal, eggs, toast and pastries. We would have loved to have the option of an omelette and pancakes for our daughter. But ample to choose from. The restaurant/breakfast area is a lovely room. The pool is great, a good size for my pre teen to swim around. My only criticism is the cleanliness of the ornamental ball in the centre of the pool, its green and in serious need of a clean. To the point I wondered if it was a health hazard? Otherwise the hotel is spotlessly clean so I couldn’t understand this? A special mention to the lovely lifeguard, the poor guy was enforcing a no white room towels rule round the pool. Something that wasn’t going down well with guests, a rules a rule though. Would we stay again yes but only if price right.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights.. Room was a bit dated.. but spotlessly clean. Pool area and grounds were very nice but the Pool Bar was often unattended. Not much in the area around the hotel but we were attending an event in the area and the location was convenient for our needs. But having a car probably more practical..
