Homewood Suites by Hilton Rochester Mayo Clinic Area/ Saint Marys

We have stayed at this hotel many times while receiving care at Mayo Clinic and St. Mary’s hospital. What a beautiful remodel! The new wallpaper, carpeting, furniture, paint and accessories are clean, colorful and comforting! When I would return from the hospital, I felt like I was coming home, especially since we were here for 21 days. The one thing that hasn’t changed is the phenomenal, “Minnesota Nice” staff! Before we left home, Dominik called to ensure everything we needed would be in our handicapped accessible room. When we checked in, Abby wheeled our suitcase to our room. Michael the manager visited with my husband after his Dr. appointment. In the morning, Becky told me what type of scone she had baked. Andrew adjusted the temperature in the fitness room for us and ensured the pool water was crystal clear. Jonathan helped me with the printer in the business center when I needed some documents printed. Tatyanna ensured guests had what they needed to enjoy the Wednesday night social. Finally, the room attendants were all fabulous—hard working, kind and always left coffee, black tea and herbal tea in our kitchen! We’ll be coming back to Mayo in a few months. Homewood Suites is where we will stay once again.

Chakira and John at the front desk go out of their way to be very helpful. Becky in the kitchen does a great job. Derek, the general manager runs the hotel perfectly. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable with a very welcoming staff. The breakfast is always on time with a good variety of food. It is across the street from St. Mary's Hospital and within walking distance to many good restaurants. They also provide a complimentary shuttle to Mayo downtown. They have recently remodeled and the rooms are very spacious and nice.

Pretty good option in Rochester/Mayo area. I was there for appointments that I thought were at Mayo St Mary’s, which is across the street, but were at the Clinic. Not huge deal. I walked, which was nice, about 1mi, 15 min stroll on tree covered sidewalk, but there are shuttles or parking garages at hospital. Courtyard parking $15/nt. Courtyard rooms & lobby could use a refresh but restaurant had good selections and most servers were very good. One bartender needs to learn that a corked bottle of wine should not continue to be served/sold to multiple guests after several of us (non-related) told her and she wouldn’t taste it saying she wasn’t allowed & couldn’t throw it out?? Front desk staff was nice. Comfortable beds & very fluffy towels! Pillows & hair dryers need replacing.
