The room isn’t good

This hotel is old and it shows. I have stayed here a few times but not recently. it was a very disappointing experience. The TV in the bedroom didnt work and it took them over 12 hours to replace it. The room was dirty. Bathroom floor very dirty. shower curtain had dirt on it and the work surfaces dusty. They came to clean and had the staff been more interested in making sure I was comfortable and offer some sort of genuine apology, I would have stayed. Instead, I checked out after one night. I stay in many older hotels and if the service is good and room is clean then no problem. Here, the staff just didn't care.

Absolutely fine for a night but I would not want it to be more. Rooms are good and cleaned well. Room service food not particularly good and the breakfast buffet was average. Service levels on the whole were ok and the reception staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Not a negative experience but definitely average.

Great place for a business stay, friendly staff, Indian Food and reasonable price. Area is Olaya - so in heart of the city. Overall a good choice for business travellors - will visit again.. Drawbacks - none so far - will update if i find any in future...

My worst stay in a hotel so far and I stay in hotels ALOT first of all the room had a full bin that wasn’t cleaned, I sent a suit to the dry clean and they got me back the jacket only and refused to assist, reception were rude to me for no reason. Needless to mention their breakfast is very bad pancakes chewed like rubber and the rest of the food was super soggy. Conclusion don’t stay there!.

I arrived at the Holiday Inn Meydan to attend the World Defense Show. I arrived at a decent time to the hotel so not too late. I was welcomed as a normal guest even though I am a Spire Ambassador Member. No one seemed to care or even mention it. I checked into room 1247. The room was good but I noticed the bathroom had a urine smell and it was quiet strong. I informed the reception but nothing happened and no one came to even spray something. As I arrived, I needed to install an application called Tawakalna. I asked the reception for help and they gave me the local number to call. I called and waited for 15 minutes but no answer and my issue was not resolved. Staff at the Holiday Inn were nice but they are not at the level I am used too. Taking the shuttle back from the World Defense Show I stopped by the Intercontinental which is just around the corner. The staff there were amazing. I especially want to give credit to a guy from the reception by the name of Habib Zain Alenzi. He took the time to help me with Tawaklna app. He re-installed it and he reconfigured everything to make sure it worked. I was not even a guest at the Inter but their staff helped me and at the Holiday Inn they did not. The third thing that really bugged me with the Holiday Inn Meydan is that as a Spire member I get a fruit basket. The guy at the reception said that it will be in my room right away. It was not. The next day I asked for it and they said sure it will come, but nothing came. The third day I asked but still nothing came. Lastly, I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. For the last 2 nights the shampoo was not added and I was lucky to have brought mine with me. I even left it in the room The hotel is okay. The gym is okay. The breakfast is okay but the little things that the staff did not do made me not enjoy my stay.

After being forced to find another hotel, last minute, as Crowne Plaza Riyadh cancelled my booking without notice what so ever, I stayed 4 nigths here to attend a trade show in Riyadh. No recognition of IGH Spire Elite status at all. The hotel surroundings are gloomy, and so is the hotel. Room was dark with insufficient lighting. Bed and pillows were good, and sleep quality good. Breakfast was substandard. a lot to choose from, but everything of mediocre standard. Fresh fruit and omelets made me through the 3 breakfasts I had. I will be sure to avoid IHG-hotels in the future, both here and elsewhere.

Room is not clean....tables are dirty, carpets are FILTHY, ketchup on the curtains, there is trash under the beds, and there was even garbage in the trash can when I checked in. They have trouble cleaning surfaces, I don't trust anything else. Luckily, I haven't really heard much noise outside my room. Had to call over an HOUR to the front desk just so I could get some water (stuck in room because of quarantine). They say they have to wait 3 days between guests to clean the rooms used for quarantine? Then why are you renting them out? Why is housekeeping knocking on my door everyday and asking to come in to clean? Spoke to the manager and he obviously does not care. Housekeeping/room service staff are nice and friendly though. My company has a contract with this hotel; I will do everything in my power to ensure the contract is voided. Left a review on google as well, but couldn't upload the pictures.
