This is a hard one to review, cause I want to be mindful of the progress of the actual city and not just compare experiences. I think the biggest issue I had with this hotel is that they are focusing so much on new stuff without making what they have great. The room felt like a prison and it is actually next door to a prison! The pool was dirty, the room had missing drywall and broken tiles and just a general stain to the walls and furniture. The WiFi is only available in the lobby. The food was difficult to consume. The good thing about this hotel is it’s walkable to the main areas! The staff is super nice. And there are many options for snacks, drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The property is not as it shows on pictures. There’s no hot water and we had 400,000 pesos stolen from our backpack in our locked room from staff. They did not investigate and said their staff are honest. Room was locked on my return but I noticed my backpack in a different location and envelope which was hidden was on top with money missing.

The property is manned by very unfriendly staff. The food in the restaurant is highly misrepresented, and the lacks much un maintenance. Seem that they do just enough to get by. Very sad

We stayed twice - one night before we went into the desert, and once one the way back. The first night was outstanding. Great service, comfortable rooms and very clean. The second night was not so great. Unhelpful staff, rooms weren't ready (despite arriving 3 hours after check-in) and had ants in them. Not terrible, but the second stay was definitely less than ideal. Pool is good and easy beach access.

The property charge me more than was previously agreed, last minute they send me an email saying my confirmation was not confirmed. ☹️ it was only about $10 dollars of difference, but when you are traveling you are on a budget.

It was my first time in la Guajira. And I have the best experience ever. The tours and the staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful, maybe is not a 5 starts hotel but they make you feel very comfortable. I love it and I will comeback again.
