We have stayed at this facility when it was the Pacific Gateway & the amenities were stellar, as was the customer service. We decided to check out the rebranded version & other than doing a good job renovating the rooms (which had been starting to show wear & tear previously), there is little to no staff, no amenities whatsoever (food, valet, gift shop, robes in the room, room service, etc.). It was also very disconcerting to see the On Strike placards at the entryway. There was no mention of any of this on ******* & the hotel ‘s website is very cagey when it states some hotel facilities may be closed for renovation. Really! The hotel’s website also states that they are sold out for last night & tonight but the facility is a ghost town probably due to no staff. The gentleman that checked us in was competent but the stellar customer service we had received during previous stays was non existent. Trust me it may be a while before these frequent travellers are prepared to return or recommend this hotel. Disappointed we are!
