Sunshine Rhodes

First family holiday with our 11 month old son, everything about the holiday we enjoyed. The hotel is beautiful, the pools are great and so are the drinks. The food is standard for all inclusive, our son loved every meal he had and so did we, 100% came away a few stone heavier My partner is gluten free and was well catered for, and the staff were brilliant with our son, both in the restaurant and the animation team! Never been one to return to a hotel but we are seriously considering it in the future.

anyone complaining about this hotel would just complain about anything.The staff can’t do enough and are so polite and happy all the time.so much entertainment all day and night for adults and children.The hotel is gleaming clean,the pools and rooms exceptional.Food has so much choice and always boiling hot.Nothing is too much to ask!!!Book,don’t miss this gem of a hotel, you won’t regret it!!!

Ignore the bad reviews, some people just like to moan about anything and everything, is it perfect, no but we enjoyed 7 nights here to a wonderful holiday. Here is my honest review based on what we experienced as a couple on a relaxing break in may 2024. Hotel Room A lot of people say the rooms are outdated etc, we found our room 329 with a sea view to be clean and with everything we needed good working shower although small, hairdryer and plenty of towels, room service came every day, we had a sea view and what a view although our room was close to entertainment area, we wasn’t affected by this as our room was on opposite side to this so wasn’t kept awake when we wanted an early night. Beds I found to be comfy, no problems there. Tv and fridge were fine although I only put tv on once for news. Pool area There are 3 pools each one is clean and lovely, the main pool is right by the pool bar The 2nd pool is where they have pool aerobics etc The 3rd pool we didn’t go to as it was out the way for us Drinks Only local spirits and cocktails with beer aswell, soft drinks and coffee served too, I wasn’t bothered by no premium drinks (baileys etc) the pool bar open all day and at night inside bar and pool bar open till 1am, so if you want 23 cocktails on first night like we did it brilliant, although my head said different next morning! Food Typical all inclusive food, plewnty of choice and I found the food tasty and was well impressed with variety (duck one night, spare ribs the next,lovely salads and nice deserts You can book the a la carte restaurant once a week during your stay and as I write this we haven’t been yet( booking for tonight) Beach A 2 minute walk to beach which is direct from pool area, although a pebble beach. It is very nice with plenty of free sunbeds, and with the pool bar just a few metres away getting a coffee,beer or soft drink was no problem. Staff and amenities The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, the amenities are fine, there is a nice shop on site and a massage tent, hairdressers too I think. Entertainment Darts, pool aerobics volleyball during day and at night the main entertainment area which is large have a kids disco and main entertainment at 9:30pm bingo, karaoke, Greek night etc which was good Location Perfect location of hotel on the beach and as you walk out of hotel plenty of bars, tavernas, shops on numerous roads, a bus stop just up road to go rhodos old town Summery Sunshine Rhodes is in my opinion an excellent hotel with every thing you need and want and more, it was a lovely holiday, and Rhodes if you haven’t been is stunning plenty to see and explore (definite trip is lindos) Would I say again Most definitely, in fact we already looking to return next year! I haven’t a clue what the negative review people expected, but to me I was looked after, well fed and watered, and had a 5 star holiday. Thank you sunshine Rhodes!

Perfect hotel for our first holiday together, the rep/animation team are amazing, really helpful and have lots of activities to do throughout the day. Special thanks to Shelly and Billy who go the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. 100% recommend staying here really close to lots of sports bars, restaurants and lots of little shops.

It was a very relaxing holiday and exactly what we wanted. The view from our room was fantastic, and was lovely and spacious, but the bathroom could do with a bit of TLC. That would be my only grumble, if I had to make one. The food was amazing and very fresh, and plentiful. I definitely came back heavier than when we left. I think the time we went was perfect, as we never needed to reserve a sun bed and the restaurant wasn't ever getting a table, but I think that would change if the busier peak months. I would, however, definitely recommend this hotel, as we had a fantastic time.

This is not a 4 star hotel! At a push 2+. The food was the worsted. Very bad quality, lukewarm if your lucky but mostly cold. As for the A la carte restaurant our advise do not bother. Asked if we could try a little taste of the wine, we where considering buying a bottle but where told in no uncertain terms, 'NO'. Which brings me to the wine, rank at best, everywhere in the hotel. It was, however, entertaining watching other guests faces when their meals arrived or they took their first taste. Generally an understaffed hotel and extremely outdated. It was kept reasonable clean and the outside pool area was pretty. Another plus it is close to the airport, good if you have children. The town was small but adequate but most restaurant's do not offer food on a Sunday in the evening. Would I go back, MOST CERTAINLY NOT.

Got to say had a lovely holiday, don't want to put any negatives but feel I have to. But I think more positives, We had a lovely big room great balcony with fantastic views of sea swimming pools and clear view of turkey, friends opposite side views of well kept gardens, with an array of lovely flowers , we surprised them by swapping in secret halfway through the week. Chill pool coffee bar wasn't open at all although you can get an ok coffee from the main pool. Pool with snack bar ok for pizza, chips , hotdogs etc wine , beer, and soft drinks help yourself. Nice looking over the beach and sea as all bars and restaurant do .Main pool and bar lovely seating to chill and relax , although very cool breeze found us wherever we sat , pool very inviting but very cold 🥶 will be great in warmer months. Couldn't fault any of these areas, just get your drink sit and soak in the fantastic views . Restaurant isn't cramped like some, found it easy to move around tables not to close together. Food it's what you get on all-inclusive but we've done quite a lot and this was good, obviously not very warm but that's what microwaves are for I used it but didn't see 1 other person do the same , so don't moan 🤨 All the meats were so tender apart from lamb chops but even I don't get them right, great selection of mains lunch and dinner, sweets a bit basic thin sponge with lots of synthetic cream but ok , good ice cream selection, can always get a hot drink but may have to queue , juice drink not proper fruit juice. Staff all seem nice and do a good job keep all areas clean and polite 👍 to them . Negatives disposable plastic glasses, 1/ they blow off the table 2/ wine is just not wine in one 3/ beer is one mouthful ,which is fine round the pool , BUT evening bar run out of proper glasses so went back to plastic ones s, also don't have drinks you can purchase which is annoying because they only have vodka/gin which taste the same , beer , brandy, ouzo. When the bar wasn't busy around 10-10.30 they said they had run out of vodka and ouzo which was ridiculous only saying it to get rid of us and close early had 1 Very busy night never run out of anything , god help them in high season . Should talk about surrounding area and Rhodes itself we enjoyed great day out split it into two trips save your legs especially coming back worth doing taxi if 3/4 People,we enjoyed hopefully you will too 😊 tips - something warm to wear in the evening - your own plastic glasses , mosquito sun cream from boots costs but worth it I promise 😊

Just an all round lovely resort. I couldn’t fault anything in the week Ive just spent there. From the Bar staff, especially Seva, to the front management team Irini, everyone was just lovely. I can still hear Billy’s voice calling out the entertainment! The hotel is beautiful as well as the grounds. No fault or complaints with the food or service received. All bars and snacks bars was open on time. A minute walk to the beach, and a handful of pools to pick from. ( but no night time swims ;) ) The resort itself is only a 10minute taxi drive into the city, as well as lots of restaurants just outside the hotel itself. My friend and I have already said we will be coming back, but on a more calm level :) Thank you Sunshine Hotel, from room 421!

The animation team were amazing especially Billy and Shelley! And all the staff so friendly however the dining hall was sub par and the food (although tasty) was cold and uninviting. The rooms were spacious but could use an upgrade. Seems like the towels and linen are on their last leg. I thoroughly enjoyed my week here but I will think twice before coming back
