O hotel é excepcional. A propriedade, situada em meio à cidade antiga de Rodes, está na melhor localização da ilha e possui um serviço extraordinário. A recepção é calorosa e todos fazem o hóspede sentir como se estivesse em casa. A nossa suíte (Deniz) é excepcional, espaçosa, confortável e tem uma bela vista para a muralha. O casal de proprietários, Nikos e Angela, são pessoas excepcionais. Além da incrível propriedade e da diária que inclui todos os itens disponíveis na suíte e no bar, as sugestões de atividades foram excelentes. O passeio de barco para Halki e Alimia foi perfeito (lugar paradisíaco e longe das multidões), a guia (Kalloudi) que nos acompanhou durante algumas horas pela cidade antiga também foi excelente. Outro destaque vai para o app do hotel, que contém inúmeras sugestões de lugares a visitar, de restaurantes, sorveterias e outras atividades. Além disso, o app contém sugestões exclusivas para o hóspede de acordo com o perfil e desejos de cada um! Nosso único arrependimento foi o de ter ficado apenas dois dias, mas esperamos conseguir voltar futuramente!

I have stayed in many beautiful hotels and lodges, but this was truly one of the most extraordinary. The attention to detail was remarkable. The ancient building is gorgeous and beautifully restored in a way that honors its ancient history. The hosts provide everything from a five star, gourmet breakfast, to complementary bar in each room, a selection of perfumes in each bathroom, and fantastic artwork throughout. Even more amazing, is a link that is curated specifically for you, available on your device or iPad provided by the Inn, with daily suggestions of activities, directions, and dining selections. Nico. helped us arrange the best guides and even a beautiful sailboat, which took us to Lindos for lunch. Amazing! No detail is too small. Angela and Nico take extraordinary pride in what they do. And everything they do, they do so well. I look forward to staying there again.

We stayed here for one week and took up two of their rooms. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and.stylish. the breakfast themselves was an experience with something.different each day. Nikos, Angie, Paris and the team made us feel very welcome and special. Recommendations were received for restaurants and sightseeing which were gratefully received. I could not.fault a thing. Excellent hosts, good location and simply fabulous. Highly recommend it

The hospitality, accommodations, and food were all perfect. Everything down to your daily itinerary on an app on your phone to your French press coffee coming with its own hourglass to measure how long your coffee has steeped are thought of. Nikkos and Angela have created a little piece of heaven on Rhodes and we are definitely coming back. Enjoy your time with them and their son Paris’ music!

We just returned home after a weeklong stay in Rhodes and the Kókkini Porta Rossa. Staying at the hotel was a wonderful experience. Angela and Nikos were great hosts. They sat with us each morning to go over planned activities and to provide tips and suggestions. The tablet they provided was very helpful, packed with itineraries, restaurant recommendations and much more. The included breakfasts was something I looked forward to each day. It was a four course affair and there wasn’t one thing I didn’t like. I use a walker, so accessibility is an important issue for me. We stayed in the only really accessible room, with just one step between rooms. I could negotiate that but they put in temporary ramps to make that one step easier to manage. The location of the hotel was excellent, inside the old city of Rhodes and on a quiet street.

Where do I begin? The welcome at Kokkini Porta Rossa is unlike any I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. Warm, inviting, gracious and delicious (the hibiscus tea in the garden). And that was just the start of a perfect stay at Kokkini Porta Rossa for our family of 4 (60’s couple with 2-20’s “kids”). Angela, Nikos and Paris have created an extension of their home in the walled city of Rhodes . Their kindness and hospitality will stay with our family for years to come. No surprise that this is a “best of the best” winner. The people, food, building, garden and surroundings are perfect. Coming “home” in the evenings to the beauty and comfort of Kokkini Porta Rossa was wonderful. Hungry? Enjoy a snack. Thirsty? Help yourself. Everything is thought of and acted upon. They haven’t missed anything. It’s like staying with your closest friends (who have the very best taste). The most thoughtful hotel experience, ever. Clearly, we loved our stay and hope to / look forward to return/ing. Thank you to you all for introducing us to Rhodes in such a special way.

What a special gem of a hotel! A beautifully renovated ancient villa, where each of the few rooms has its own character, centred about a peaceful tree lined courtyard and beautiful salon with grand piano, Persian rugs and luxurious sitting areas with lovely art. Kokkini Rossa is within the old city walls, and is truly like staying in a beautiful home as guests rather than a hotel. Our suite Orhan, comprised 3 rooms, the living area, bedroom and huge bathroom with gorgeous bath, and a private sitting area off the main courtyard. A silver tray of perfumes, antique ornaments and art, historic books, complimentary bar with crystal glasses and lovely linens to name but a few. Nothing has been overlooked. Niko and Angela greeted us at the door, looked after our every need, providing a gorgeous multi course breakfast which changed each day, a daily well thought out itinerary with map and app with Google walking directions, and 24hour support if needed. Their son Paris played the piano each evening during predinner drinks. This was a quiet, cool sanctuary in a hot busy town (tip- avoid cruise ship visit days) which we absolutely recommend to travellers who want something different from air bnbs and faceless hotels. It was the most beautiful small hotel we have ever stayed in and would love to return.

I don’t usually leave long reviews, as I’m not a gifted writer, preferring short snappy comments before moving on to the next restaurant, hotel or experience. However the Kókkini deserves a closer look, truly, I have never experienced anything like it. As we know there are luxury hotels with incredibly high service, at the opposite end there are charming bed and breakfast with owners close at hand with a recommendation or 2, fostering an atmosphere of home. The KOKKINI Porto manages (for the first time) to blend the two. Not just in the luxurious intimate surroundings with thoughtful touches everywhere you look, but in the form of owners Nikkos and Angela. As a first time traveller to Rhodes I was delighted to find each day offered curated suggestions based on my interests, these were available on both an app and tablet with invaluable ‘walk home’ button so I was never lost. These daily suggestions me to make the most of my five day stay on the island, Nikkos even chartered a boat for me! Julia is the most delightful breakfast companion, witty and beautiful. My accommodation with bedroom on mezzanine platform was just beautiful and felt like a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of daily life back in the UK. I hope to return with family. On the drive to the hotel, the taxi driver said that we were going to be staying at the best hotel in Rhodes, as the hosts would take excellent care of us. That may have been an understatement. The generosity of the hosts is evident in the many, many things they do for their guests. Starting with Angela’s incredible breakfast in the morning, where we encountered the pleasant and witty Julia. Then Nikos would come with his invaluable advice on how we should spend our day, making or helping to make reservations for all kinds of activities – cruises, car rentals, what have you. Then, there was the open bar in the hotel along with various kinds of liquor in the rooms. Even a phone battery charger for the occasions when we were going on daylong drives. Along with the admonition against using the rental car’s charger – as it was more likely to drain your battery than to power it. They were a delight to talk to as well. We learned many fascinating things about the history of Rhodes, aspects of the Greek language, etc. There was always a cheery goodbye when we left in the morning and a warm welcome when we got back. Assuming we weren’t back too late, as the hosts did go home to sleep at some point.
