The Green Bridge Inn

Found this lodge by accident and it was a hidden gem. Easy check in by a friendly staff member. Room had the old room feeling with all the new amenities. A great place to stay with family or friends. To top off the stay across the street was an amazing restaurant and bar “Mango’s”.

From check-in with Addy to my shower in the sparkling clean shower, this gem is a well-kept secret! The gateway to our adventure we enjoyed Chef Matt’s tomato bisque soup and grilled cheese at Mango’s across the street.

Excellent - a must stay! Just spent two nights here in October 2023 and wow, what a hotel. The inn is located in the center of Red Cliff (population about 275), a former mining town that - and about 25 minutes from Vail. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room 217 was huge, clean, quiet, and lots of amenities (Queen bed, kitchen with fridge/microwave/coffee maker/cutlery/plates/cups/TV with expanded cable). As you will find out, the town has no cell phone service but have no fear - hotel had great wifi so able to easily connect and make calls. First floor of the hotel has a lobby that double as the town's convenience store, gift shot and liquor store. Free coffee/teas throughout the day for guests too. Right across the street is Mangoes - the only restaurant in town! Truly recommend staying here over the regular hotspots of Vail, Aspen, Breckenridge, etc. Also much more affordable!

My husband and I spent 5 nights here at Green Bridge Inn. We found our king room very clean and comfortable. The bed was so nice with great linens and duvet. Loved getting our hot delicious coffee in the downstairs area. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were steps away from family in this sweet town! Will definitely return next time out to Colorado.

The cancellation policy is reason enough to not recommend. They require one full week, or they charge the entire amount. No exceptions. I could see it if that cost them a booking, but even when there are plenty of rooms available, you lose.

We enjoyed our one night stay here. Room had everything we needed and there was free coffee in the store downstairs. Only one restaurant in town and mostly bar food so plan ahead. We would stay here again.

Green Bridge Inn feels like home away from home! We have stayed twice at GBI, in different rooms but both equally high quality and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and super helpful. If you are lucky enough to have your journey bring you to the area, Green Bridge Inn is definitely the place to stay!

The Green Bridge in is a great place to stay. The rooms were extremely clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was fantastic as well. My son and I spent a couple of nights there while travelling around Colorado, and we have absolutely zero complaints. The scenery is great, and there are some nice places to eat, if you don't wish to eat in Red Cliff, just a few miles away. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Arrived in DEN at 6:00 pm, got the rental and made the 2 hr. drive from east side of Denver all the way on I-70 until you get off on Leadville exit. Now I-70 can be challenging all year round especially in the winter, but since mud season we cooked along and passed Idaho Springs (You gotta stop) and Minturn has plenty of open restaurants. Well, we were late arrivals into Red Cliff, so Mango's across the street was closed...had made arrangements with hotel for late arrival so snuck in 9:30 had the code for our door room 23, showered and passed out. Since traveling from East coast, woke up early and gazed on the beauty/clear air of Red Cliff and the valley. The Inn is above the general store, and Tyler has the coffee/hot chocolate brewing and we had lite tasty snack before heading to Nova Guides for fly fishing morning. So, if you are tired of the Hiltons, Hyatt's, and Marriotts, check out the Green Bridge Inn. Its quaint, spotless, and retro all the way. Escape the routine plus cell phones dont work well here, its like going back in time. I green light the Green Bridge.
