Hotel Classique

I visited the city to attend a family function and my accompanied me. Both of us were very happy with the amenities and service we received at the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel itself is very close to the airport and hence it was very easy for us to reach. It is in the 7th floor of a commercial complex offering a great view, and we were actually enjoying browsing around.

Having just returned from Quebec City I had to sit down and share my experience at L'Hotel Classique on Laurier Ave. Having stayed at both L'Hotel Quebec and the Plaza Hotel just a few blocks away and anticipating the same quality and service as the cost was similar - Hotel Classique was a big disappointment! The internet pictures are obviously quite old and the hotel has not been maintained. Counter in room was worn and dented - sofa was stained - wallpaper peeling - touch up painting needed, electric heaters lying on ground etc. It was instantly obvious that little time, money or attention has been given to maintaining the appearance of this hotel. We were also surprised to find that the rooms receive no housekeeping attention for 48 hours unlike any other hotel - so you have coffee for the first day only. My wife was not a happy camper when she saw my choice of hotels - and I regret not booking at either of the two hotels mentioned in my opening sentence but was fooled by the pictures. Be warned!!
